Director of Supply Chain (Cold Chain Experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Supply Chain with expertise in Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Cold Chain operations to lead and optimize our supply chain strategy. The ideal candidate will have a background in biotech, pharma, or related consumer product industries, bringing extensive knowledge of cold chain logistics, temperature-sensitive product handling, and end-to-end supply chain management. In this role, you will oversee supply chain planning, procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution to ensure our products are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. This position offers two days of remote work each week.

• Supply Chain Strategy and Leadership
• Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy tailored to B2C cold chain operations, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor a cross-functional supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
• Cold Chain Logistics Management
• Oversee cold chain logistics to ensure temperature-sensitive products are stored, transported, and delivered within strict quality parameters.
• Collaborate with logistics partners and carriers to ensure timely and compliant distribution of products.
• Monitor and manage risk in the cold chain to minimize product loss or delays.
• Procurement and Inventory Management
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure a consistent supply of raw materials and finished goods.
• Optimize inventory levels to balance cost efficiency with service level requirements.
• Implement advanced forecasting tools and methodologies to improve demand planning accuracy.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance
• Ensure supply chain operations comply with regulatory standards, including FDA, GDP, and GMP guidelines.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain product integrity throughout the supply chain.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting cold chain operations and B2C distribution.
• Data-Driven Decision Making
• Leverage data analytics and supply chain management systems to drive insights and make informed decisions.
• Monitor KPIs to track supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide regular reports to executive leadership on supply chain operations, risks, and achievements.
