Lead Technical Services Consultant (DC/MD Metro Area)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Lead Technical Services Consultant to join our growing IT Services team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of hands-on experience in IT support and systems administration, with deep expertise in Microsoft 365, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Intune, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting. Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is essential.

This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of IT support services, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring best practices in system administration and cloud infrastructure management. This position features a mixture of remote work and local travel within the MD/DC metro areas.

• Lead and coordinate the design, implementation, and support of IT infrastructure solutions.
• Provide senior-level support for Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Active Directory.
• Manage and administer cloud services on Azure and/or AWS, including infrastructure deployments and configurations.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced PowerShell scripts for automation and reporting.
• Oversee endpoint management, policy enforcement, and application deployment using Microsoft Intune.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of core IT systems and services.
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex support issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT strategies aligned with business goals.
• Mentor junior consultants and provide training on new technologies and best practices.
• Assist in creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in client consultations, project scoping, and solution architecture design.
