About Us
LoyaltyLion is a data-driven loyalty and engagement platform trusted by thousands of ecommerce brands worldwide. Merchants use LoyaltyLion when they want a loyalty program that is proven to increase customer engagement, retention and spend. Stores using LoyaltyLion typically generate at least $15 for every $1 they spend on the platform.
Today, LoyaltyLion works with over 10,000 ecommerce brands. Our mission is to help them succeed in the age of Amazon, where they may not be able to compete on price and logistics but can offer a better customer experience. An experience where customers feel valued, rather than just another number.
It’s been an incredible few years for LoyaltyLion. We closed funding of $12.5m in 2021 and another $12m in 2022. We’ve built out our Leadership team, amongst other key senior hires and we continue to set our sights high, achieving spots in both the Deloitte Fast 50 and the FT1000.
Oh, and did we mention our recent successes, such as our G2 reviews, where we are the no.1 in loyalty management in the world or where we've been voted No. 8 in the Best UK Software 2024 list...
The role:
We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team. You’ll be responsible for driving significant growth in New Business revenue, ensuring high performance across a team of 5 Account Executives and 3 Sales Development Representatives. Your team of value-based sellers close deals with ecommerce brands on Shopify with opportunities coming from all channels - inbound, partnerships, outbound and sales qualified leads from our team of Sales Development Representatives.
You’ll become a loyalty expert, helping your team to educate high-growth merchants on the value of customer retention and engagement. NB: This is not a boiler-room sales floor: we collaborate, empower and celebrate each other’s successes (with healthy competition along the way!)
You will work closely with the CRO and other leaders to execute strategies, refine processes, and achieve our ambitious growth targets. This role demands a high-energy, driven leader to foster a high-performance culture, scaling our already impressive impact in the market.
What you'll be doing:
Team Leadership:
- Coach and develop a team of experienced Account Executives and driven Sales Development Reps, fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement.
- Enable them to exceed targets with fast-paced sales cycles, ensuring individual and team success.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, and performance reviews to maintain high engagement and productivity.
Revenue Growth:
- Own the team’s sales target (your team is responsible for closing all new business deals (from outbound, inbound and partnerships).
- Ensure consistent delivery of results (ACV £10k, range: £3k - £50k).
- Proactively manage sales pipeline, coverage and data quality to facilitate reliable forecasting against revenue targets.
Outbound:
- Specific responsibility for managing outbound pipeline and revenue.
- Manage SDRs and AEs to optimise outbound motions and messaging, drive efficiencies, increase conversion rates and grow this channel.
Sales Improvement & Execution:
- Optimise a 30-day sales cycle to drive quick, repeatable deal closures.
- Refine and enable sales processes, including lead qualification, deal progression, and closing strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing and partnerships to ensure a steady flow of high-quality leads.
- Focus on creating a balanced approach to inbound and outbound sales activities, ensuring the team excels in closing both.
Performance Management:
- Track performance against defined KPI metrics for both AEs and SDRs.
- Analyse sales data and team performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Enablement & Tools:
- Identify skill gaps and implement training programs to improve sales effectiveness.
- Implement actionable insights to enhance sales effectiveness and team productivity, leveraging coaching frameworks to uplift the capability of your team members.
- Oversee the use of CRM and sales tools, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to align messaging, deliver value-driven solutions, maximising customer value and outcomes.
- Provide customer feedback to inform product roadmap and feature development.
Requirements:
This is a great opportunity for someone with proven experience as a top B2B SaaS seller in the ecommerce space, experience managing other sales people and the drive to grow and impress with significant responsibility from day one.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales management, leading AEs and SDRs.
- Experience managing sales of selling high velocity deals (~£10,000 ACV).
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets in the fast-paced ecommerce environment.
- Experience scaling outbound pipeline with innovative, value-based approaches.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong hands-on leadership and coaching style, with the skills and ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Highly analytical, data-driven approach to decision-making, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Independent and creative problem-solving - a self-starter comfortable in an autonomous role, you excel at clarifying and simplifying approaches in ambiguous environments.
