Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:

The primary purpose of the Sales Agent – Collectible Toys role is to serve as a dynamic connector between the collectible toy industry and its customers. This position combines the passion for collectibles with strategic sales expertise to drive business growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and promote brand loyalty.

By understanding market trends, customer preferences, and the unique appeal of collectible toys, the Sales Agent ensures every interaction—whether with B2B buyers or individual collectors—is engaging, insightful, and results-oriented.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A dedicated and dynamic Sales Agent who excels at connecting with enthusiasts and transforming interest into sales. Whether catering to B2B buyers or passionate collectors, this role is committed to ensuring every customer discovers the perfect addition to their collection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement
    Forge and nurture strong relationships with B2B customers by understanding their unique preferences and guiding them towards the most suitable collectible toys.
  • Product Knowledge
    Stay ahead of the curve by keeping informed about the latest industry trends, exclusive editions, and sought-after collectibles to offer expert recommendations.
  • Sales Execution
    Deliver seamless sales experiences across in-store, online, and event-based channels, ensuring smooth transactions and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management
    Monitor stock levels, suggest timely reorders, and emphasise limited editions to create a sense of urgency and exclusivity.
  • Event Representation
    Represent the brand at toy fairs, conventions, and pop-up events, showcasing products and expanding the customer base with engaging presentations.

This role is designed for someone passionate about the collectibles industry, with the ability to turn enthusiasm into tangible results while fostering meaningful customer connections.

1. Educational Background

  • High school diploma or equivalent (a degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is an advantage).

2. Experience

  • Proven track record in sales, ideally within B2B, retail, or the collectibles industry.
  • Prior experience in selling toys, collectibles, or similar products is highly desirable.

3. Industry Knowledge

  • Passion for and deep understanding of collectible toys, action figures, or related merchandise.
  • Familiarity with popular toy brands, franchises, and trends, including limited editions and exclusive releases.

4. Sales Skills

  • Strong ability to close sales and consistently meet or exceed targets.
  • Proficient in upselling and cross-selling to enhance customer purchases.

5. Customer Service Skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with B2B and B2C customers.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored product recommendations.

6. Organisational Skills

  • Proficient in managing stock levels, tracking orders, and maintaining visually appealing displays.
  • High attention to detail when handling transactions and recording sales.

7. Event Participation

  • Willingness to represent the brand at toy fairs, conventions, and pop-up events, engaging with collectors and expanding the customer base.

8. Technical Skills

  • Basic proficiency with sales systems, POS software, and e-commerce tools for online sales.
