Product Development & Execution

  • Translate Vision and Strategy to an executable roadmap.
  • Execute against the ePrescribing roadmap by collaborating with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Write detailed user stories, create Jira tickets, and maintain clear priorities.
  • Ensure timely, high-quality feature delivery aligned with business and user needs
  • Translate product requirements into clear acceptance criteria and oversee development progress
  • Coordinate with sales, customer success, and support teams to ensure effective rollouts and client education on new eRx features.

Data-Driven Product Management:

  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to:
    • Prescription success rates
    • Prior Authorization completion times
    • PDMP and EPCS compliance rates
    • User adoption and satisfaction
    • Error rates and system downtime
  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor product performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark product capabilities against industry standards.

Regulatory & Compliance Leadership:

  • Ensure all ePrescribing functionalities comply with DEA, PDMP, EPCS, NCPDP SCRIPT standards, and state-specific regulations.
  • Lead initiatives to meet the requirements of the CMS final rule and any future regulatory changes.
  • Maintain audit readiness and partner with legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs teams to ensure seamless adherence to all policies.

Collaboration with External Partners (Surescripts, FDB, etc):

  • Act as the primary product liaison, overseeing the integration of services like electronic Prior Authorization (ePA), medication history, and real-time benefit checks.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and state PDMP networks, to align product capabilities with industry standards.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Product Management certifications (e.g., Pragmatic Institute, AIPMM) are a plus.
  • 5+ years of product management experience in healthcare technology, with a focus on EHR and ePrescribing platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of Surescripts integrations and the ePrescribing ecosystem, including electronic Prior Authorization (ePA) and real-time benefit tools.

  • Understanding of compliance frameworks such as DEA, EPCS, PDMP reporting, HITECH, etc.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs for third-party integrations and HL7 and FHIR standards for data exchange.
  • Proven track record managing compliance-driven product roadmaps and regulatory initiatives.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities.
