Sales Development Representative – E-commerce Sector

Job Description

NielsenIQ is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to manage, develop and grow qualified lead volume and sales pipeline for the e-commerce team in Western Europe. The main tasks include: 

  1. Qualifying inbound inquiries to check if they are ready for sales. 

  1. Outbound prospecting via email, social media, and phone to schedule initial meetings. 

  1. Supporting in-person and virtual events with outreach before and after the events. 

This role is the first contact for prospects interested in NielsenIQ e-commerce solutions and sets the tone for the sales cycle. Key qualities for success include professionalism, enthusiasm, and excellent communication. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who works well independently and builds strong relationships with team members and sales stakeholders. 

Responsibilities 

  • Continuously learn and become an expert on NielsenIQ solutions and the industry. 

  • Pitch products and solutions to key decision makers by understanding their needs and demonstrating how NielsenIQ can help. 

  • Respond to and qualify inbound inquiries quickly to assess if they are ready for sales. 

  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities to schedule meetings with decision makers and generate sales-ready leads. 

  • Support marketing events by promoting them beforehand and following up afterward to engage and qualify prospects. 

  • Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly plans to maximize prospecting efficiency, including account and contact-level research, pre-call planning, and personalized messaging. 

  • Meet and exceed key performance metrics for calls, emails, social touches, scheduled appointments, and conversion to sales opportunities. 

  • Maintain accurate CRM records of all lead and prospecting activities. 

  • Build relationships with sales team members to nurture leads and ensure lead quality drives conversion to pipeline and revenue.

Qualifications

  • University degree plus at least 2 years of sales or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Proficiency in English and French. 

  • Experience in high-growth, fast-paced sales, service, or marketing teams. 

  • Strong interpersonal, researching, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office Suite, MS Dynamics 365 (CRM), Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ability to quickly learn new technologies. 

  • Exceptional listening and communication skills. 

  • Team player with a positive attitude, composure under pressure, creativity in problem-solving, and strong time management. 

  • Detail-oriented, methodical, and process-driven mentality. 

  • Highly ambitious with a strong desire to grow knowledge, skills, and career.
