Specialist, Accounts Receivable

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring accurate invoicing, timely

collections and efficient financial operations. This position requires meticulous diligence, efficient data processing, and adherence to confidentiality standards for both business and personal records. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance and Accounting team and is relied upon as a vital and integral part of the department. The ideal candidate has three or more years of experience in accounts receivable, strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy, basic knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements timely and accurately.
• Engage with customers to address open invoices and balances, ensuring timely collections.
• Process customer payments ensuring accurate application to customer accounts.
• Accurately record and update collections data, helping management stay informed on collection progress and assist with forecasting.
• Reconcile accounts receivable balances, resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.
• Work with internal teams (e.g., Account Managers, Sales) to resolve invoicing questions and ensure smooth communication.
• Generate reports and assist with accounting close processes at month end.
• Continuously identify opportunities for improving the accounts receivable process to increase efficiency.
• Assist with additional team responsibilities as needed.

• A Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in business, finance, or accounting.
• 3-5 years of accounts receivable experience.
• Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems.
• Experience with NetSuite a plus.
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment.
