QA Automation Tester

As an Automation Tester at Octal Philippines Inc., you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of our software products through automated testing. Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure reliable and efficient software performance. You will collaborate closely with development teams to identify areas for automation and improve testing processes.

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites using industry-standard tools.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and identify testable scenarios.
• Participate in the design and implementation of testing frameworks.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance existing tests to improve test coverage and reduce testing time.
• Provide feedback on software usability and responsiveness based on testing outcomes.

• 1. Bachelor’s degree in any course related to Information Technology
• 2. At least 2-3 years of work experience related and focused on Software Quality Assurance, Software User Acceptance, Testing, System Documentation
• 3. Working knowledge about any programming language, database, & server application solutions.
• 4. Working knowledge of basic IT support services such as: Software and Applications trouble shooting and use of commonly used software products (e.g., MS Office, MS Windows and Internet tools).
• 5. Basic Networking Skills.
• 6. Working knowledge on basic programming and internet tools (e.g. Web Browsing, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS).
• 7. Sound Documentation and Communication Skills.
