Sales @ OMG
As the Sales Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our sales team by providing strategic direction, pipeline management, mentoring, and support. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sales opportunity pipeline while collaborating closely with the sales management team to drive revenue and uphold OMG’s commitment to revenue growth.
Day in the Life
Leadership and Team Management
- Provide clear guidance, support, and coaching to the sales team members.
- First point of contact for Account Executives in need of support or assistance.
- Foster a positive and motivating work environment, promoting teamwork and a strong sales culture.
- Help manage performance expectations and KPIs for individual team members
Sales Strategy and Planning
- Ownership of personal pipeline and quota achievement
- Collaborate with the sales management team to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Assist in setting sales targets and track progress towards achieving them.
- Ensure effective communication of sales strategies and goals to the team.
Sales Operations
- Monitor and manage the sales pipeline to ensure timely and effective sales cycle progression.
- Participate in key sales negotiations and provide support to team members when required.
- Partner with Revenue Ops to drive key initiatives related to opportunity scoring, win-loss analysis, etc.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product, customer service) to streamline processes and improve overall sales efficiency.
- Partner with Sales Ops to ensure all sales tools are effectively utilized for example, Outreach.io sequences are up to date and appropriate for the season
Reporting and Analysis:
- Salesforce data cleanliness and accuracy, for example, updating annual sales revenue, online store provider, estimated LF paid to date, next steps, descriptions/notes,s and more.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of sales data to identify areas for improvement and to assess team performance.
- Present findings and recommendations to the management team.
Training and Development:
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to the team, focusing on continuous improvement of pipeline efficiency, SFDC cleanliness, sales skills, and improved forecasting.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of recently promoted/new AEs.
Quota:
- Quota will be based on the License Fee and Agreement Product count.
- Responsible for individual quota (License Fee/Company Store Agreements).
- Goal of 70%+ of all assigned reps at quota or better.
- Organize and conduct quarterly sales training sessions to enhance the team's product knowledge and sales.
What You Need
- Embody the OMG Magic Behavioral Anchors.
- Embody the responsibilities and expectations of revenue leadership.
- 4 days in office minimum with 5 days of in-office coverage expected between all sales leadership (leads and managers).
- Lead one Sales stand-up per month. This standup should be focused on strategic pipeline growth, forecasting, trends, etc., on top of weekly updates as normal.
- Participation in and promotion of company-sponsored events is highly encouraged.
- Participation in Alpha Team for Product is required where applicable.
