Content Strategist

This role will be crucial in the success of the marketing team in 2025 and beyond. Working as a Content Strategist, you will be a conduit to what the audience needs, what the business is trying to create and say, what marketing is trying to achieve and then mixing in your own experience and views on how best to connect with the audience in the best way.

Versatile and agile, you will create what needs to be created and enjoy being trusted and autonomous whilst simultaneously being a part of a tight-knit team that works together on everything.

Who you are:

You are a content expert with a track record of delivering interesting and engaging content assets and campaigns in a high-energy environment. You have at least 3 years of experience in doing this and are able to write and produce collateral, understand complex topics and be able to simplify them or edit and create videos and are aware and connected to new trends and techniques in content creation, including AI.

You are versatile in your approach to content, whether it be in-house or working with agencies to get things produced that we require. Comfortable with a fast pace of a start up, you thrive on a demanding environment but revel in seeing your work going out on screens and stands and in the press. You collaborate first but have no fear in doing things off your own back.

You are a personality that connects with your colleagues and audience on a human level.

• Strong skills in writing, editing and producing collateral – at all parts of the sales cycle – with an eye on design and the best medium to use.
• A bias towards video content creation – storyboarding, filming/recording, editing and producing the assets that will make a difference.
• Happy working as a key content creator as well as with an agency, orchestrating content creation in line with whatever the business needs
• Building, creating and thinking about content strategy – what is needed and by when and for whom as a plan that dovetails with marketing and the businesses goals.
• Breaking down audiences, understanding them and adapting your plans and outputs to suit those prospects and customers in the best way
• Being agile in what you are professionally and agile in what is created; dependent on the area of the business or seniority of the stakeholder you are reaching or working with.

Desirable additional skills:

• Experience working with content creation platform; including but not limited to tools like Adobe CC, video editing, webinar platforms, Pardot and various AI tools
• You are a confident outgoing organiser of projects, determining timelines and working back from the deadline of delivery. You can organise with multiple stakeholders what is needed to pull together the required outputs
• You are an accomplished writer, able to adjust tone and grammar of others as well as produce copy and content yourself, when required.
• Experience in cybersecurity or another technology-based industry would be desirable – understanding cyber concepts, threats and trends will be a massive help to you in this role.
