Role Overview:

The Design Intern will contribute to the development of visual storytelling assets that bring PDI’s product portfolio and customer journeys to life. This role is ideal for a creative, self-motivated student who’s passionate about illustration, animation, interactive media, or immersive storytelling. Working closely with the Design and Marketing teams, the intern will help produce a range of dynamic visual content used for product education and marketing. This internship is ideal for creative students ready to bring design to life in a commercial, impact-driven setting.

• Design and develop visual storytelling vignettes using a 3D map of the convenience ecosystem.
• Create animated sequences to illustrate customer journeys and product experiences.
• Design interactive elements that highlight product features and benefits.
• Produce short-form videos that explain complex product relationships in a visually engaging format.
• Develop storyboards and concept art to support future marketing campaigns.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure visual assets align with brand guidelines and messaging.
• Apply feedback from design professionals to iterate and improve visual deliverables.
• Manage assigned projects from concept through to execution, maintaining quality and deadlines.
• Participate in team check-ins and provide updates on project status and progress.
• Maintain and organize creative assets for reuse across different channels and formats.

• Current junior, senior, or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Art, Game Design, Immersive Reality/VR/AR, Interactive Media, Visual Communications, Animation, or Digital Media.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Clear and confident communication skills when explaining creative ideas.
• Receptive to feedback and willing to revise and improve work.

• Experience with video production and editing workflows.
• Familiarity with animation tools, interactive design platforms, or 3D visualization software.
• Strong attention to detail, while keeping project goals and messaging in mind.
• Self-motivation and comfort being the primary creator for assigned projects.
• Ability to adapt to new tools, processes, or creative challenges.
