POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Street Beat (PSB) Program Director is responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and expansion efforts for PSB’s mobile health services and community outreach programs. This role requires a visionary leader with deep knowledge of harm reduction, HIV prevention, and reproductive healthcare. The Program Director will manage multi-regional mobile health operations, lead a diverse team, and cultivate partnerships that align with Planned Parenthood’s mission of equitable healthcare access for vulnerable populations.
This is a full-time position based in New York City, with an oversight of services in Region 1 and Region 2:
Region 1: New York City + Nassau County
Region 2: Hudson Valley and Central New York
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (WEIGHTED & WITH DETAIL)
Program Leadership & Strategy (25%)
Provide visionary leadership to drive PSB’s programmatic growth, service quality, and strategic direction.
Establish annual program goals and develop long-term objectives in collaboration with the AVP.
Analyze community needs and program data to inform decisions on service offerings and expansion.
Ensure program services align with PPGNY’s mission, values, and healthcare quality standards
.
Operational Management (30%)
Oversee day-to-day operations of PSB’s mobile health units and outreach teams, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.
Direct logistics management, scheduling, staff assignments, and resource allocation to maximize service delivery.
Develop and monitor program budgets, ensuring fiscal accountability and sustainable growth.
Implement and enforce HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality protocols.
Staff Supervision & Development (15%)
Recruit, train, and supervise a multidisciplinary team including healthcare providers, navigators, and outreach workers.
Provide mentorship and support to foster a collaborative, high-performing work culture.
Conduct performance evaluations and set measurable goals for staff development and retention.
Encourage continuous improvement, integrating staff feedback to enhance program effectiveness.
Community Engagement & Partnerships (15%)
Build and maintain partnerships with local organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies to strengthen PSB’s reach.
Represent PSB at community meetings, conferences, and events to increase visibility and advocacy.
Work with partners to develop tailored services addressing gaps in healthcare access, particularly in harm reduction, reproductive health, and HIV prevention.
Program Evaluation & Reporting (15%)
Track and report program metrics, including patient encounters, service utilization, and health outcomes.
Conduct regular evaluations to measure program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare reports for funders, PPGNY leadership, and external stakeholders, highlighting accomplishments and challenges.
Ensure compliance with grant funding requirements and provide necessary documentation for applications and renewals.
