VPD Government Solutions is a rapidly growing, employee-centric consulting company that provides Program, Project, Acquisition, Facilities Management and social science research and evaluation support services to Federal Government clients. We are seeking a Facilities Program Analyst to join our talented team of consultants.
The Facilities Program Analyst will support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM) by providing business analysis, data analysis and management consulting support as required by the Portfolio Management Branch Director. Support activities and deliverables including but are not limited to: program goals and objectives, program scope, developing and managing project schedules, standard operating procedures, program budget, data entry and analysis in TRIRIGA, staffing analysis, Congressional Reports and inquiries, executive communication products such as talking points, issue papers etc, and strategic communications strategies for both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:- Strategy and Program Development and Management:
- Assist the government in developing and maintaining effective business rhythm and practices related to oversight and management of the budget function, facilities maintenance, and capital investment planning for the organization’s vast facilities portfolio.
- Conduct "as-is" analysis to provide actionable recommendations and products aimed at programmatic business process improvement and efficiencies, support implementation and sustainment of process improvements
- Support strategic planning, metrics development, and performance management processes for a complex facilities management PMO.
- Support the management of timelines and workflows related to program development and deliverable completion.
- Assist in developing organizational strategies and recommending process improvements.
- Documentation & Deliverables:
- Develop a variety of written deliverables including memorandums, project plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and flowcharts to create efficiencies and provide leadership with decision making information and tools.
- Support Congressional reporting by providing supporting data, written narratives, talking points and executive communication utilizing appropriate productivity tools including but not limited to Power Point, Visio, Excel etc.
- Produce strategic communications for external business partners and manage the tracking of deliverables using the OFAM task management system.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Provide quality control of data entry in the organization’s system of record, TRIRIGA, ensuring data integrity and completeness; facilitate regular and ad hoc audits to keep records up to date
- Compile program analysis, reports and dashboards displaying critical facility information, identify trends and provide insight to inform decision making.
Requirements- Education:
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in business analysis, organizational management, budgeting, accounting or a related field.
- Familiarity with federal facility PMO and/or supporting PMO’s within DHS through general management consulting
- Experience supporting DHS programs, processes and familiar with DHS policies preferred
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth analysis and synthesize findings for actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, organizational strategy, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in developing project-related documentation, such as SOPs, project plans, and strategic reports.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of related software applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Project, One Note, Publisher, Visio, Skype, SharePoint, Internet Explorer, and Adobe Pro
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public, business partners, etc., sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
- Strong and confident presentation and public speaking skills
- Ability to support project management activities, manage timelines, and coordinate deliverables.
- Comfortable interacting with stakeholders and providing summaries and analysis for senior review.
- Additional Requirements:
- US Citizenship required
- Must be able to pass a CBP Background Investigation
- Travel required, likely less than 25% but could vary dependent upon Client demands
- Able / willing to work in DC based PMO office 2 days per week
