Protect Environmental is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the recruiting function, talent branding initiatives, and employee experience when onboarding.
Essential Functions- Review resumes, interview candidates, administer appropriate assessments and reference/background checks.
- Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system; follow up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruitment process.
- Assist with developing and implementing diversity recruiting initiatives to support affirmative action hiring goals.
- Manage all job posting within the applicant tracking system and all other applicable systems.
- Work with hiring managers, HR team, and the recruiter to coordinate aspects of the onboarding process including internal checklists, equipment tickets to IT, uniform orders, day one agendas and scheduling meetings.
- Monitor third party sources, including job target and indeed, to evaluate performance; work with the HR Manager to implement system or process enhancements as needed.
- In partnership with the recruiter, conduct passive recruiting efforts for all positions to drive candidate flow.
- In conjunction with the HR Manager, maintain HRIS system with accurate employment records.
- Participates in social media recruitment strategies and talent branding initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- May attend and participate in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills- Familiarity with HR processes and talent acquisition trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Demands and Work Environment- This job also uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up-to 10 pounds.
Travel Expectations- Occasional travel may be expected.
Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods.
- Proven work experience as Talent Acquisition Specialist and coordination of all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Previous ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
- SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
