• Drive Technical Vision: Develop and implement innovative engineering approaches that align with RealSelf's business objectives in the aesthetics marketplace.
• Lead Platform Evolution: Chart a path to support an enhanced consumer experience while reducing the footprint of the existing stack.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a thought partner across departments, bridging technical and business perspectives.
• Team Management: Mentor and guide the engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to align technical strategy with company goals and industry trends.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics and metrics to inform technical decisions and optimize performance.
• System Design & Architecture: Comfortable building scalable applications from concept to market.
• AI-Driven Analytics & Tooling: Familiar with implementing AI based tooling to enhance products and operational efficiency. 

• You are located in New York City.
• You have a Bachelor’s degree. 
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, 2+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven track record in consumer-facing technologies, including content and media platforms; experience in marketplace platforms is a plus.
• Strong background in cloud services (AWS is a plus) and data-driven solutions.
• Proficiency in revenue platforms and tools that drive monetization strategies.
• Proficiency in integrating SEO best practices into engineering workflows and managing digital advertising platforms.
• Experience in designing and implementing cost-effective, scalable infrastructure.
• Experienced in architecting, developing, and deploying applications from the ground up.
• Demonstrated success in leading engineering teams through periods of transition and growth.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
