The Director of Brand Marketing plays a pivotal role in discerning and synthesizing local consumer insights and market intelligence, with a focus on driving top-of-mind awareness, brand affinity, relevance, salience, and per capita consumption. This role involves close collaboration with the Region Head of Marketing to shape the annual business strategy, including the creation, planning, and implementation of localized brand campaigns, while ensuring consistent and accurate brand representation. Acting as the "guardian of the brand" within the region, the individual is instrumental in facilitating sustainable, long-term growth aligned with global brand values. The position demands an innovative approach to balancing immediate business demands with future opportunities, and requires the development of regionally tailored strategies that reflect our national brand plan. Additionally, the Region Head of Brand Marketing is responsible for mentoring their team to achieve exceptional execution of these strategies.
CONSUMER INSIGHTS
Be the eyes, ears, and voice of the consumer, leveraging your understanding of regional insights, demographics, and psychographics to influence marketing initiatives
Leverage local sales data, consumption statistics and consumer insights to identify volume driving product opportunities
Ensure Regional Marketing Teams create inclusive and culturally relevant communications and experiences that authentically reflect and celebrate diverse communities within the region
REGIONAL BRAND MARKETING STRATEGY & PLANS
Protect brand equity by ensuring all local brand efforts are executed in line with national/global strategy and guidelines
Develop the annual Regional Brand Marketing Business Plan, that pays into the overarching National Brand Marketing direction
Oversee the development of innovative, insight driven local '360' marketing plans that drive demand of our product & increase awareness through occasions and consumer activations
Drive Always-On Occasions (work, socializing, study, fitness, gaming) year-round through impactful, cross-functional initiatives
Lead collaboration with regional Sports, Culture, and Media teams to optimize outcome of brand initiatives
Contribute to National Brand Marketing best practices by building clear KPIs, consistently tracking results and sharing learnings throughout campaign development & execution
Constantly identify emerging consumer trends and identify opportunities for Red Bull Marketing to activate consumers in new and exciting ways
BEVERAGE INITIATIVES AND SALES SUPPORT
Drive awareness and trial of Red Bull new product launches by developing regional activation initiatives
Ensure regional look & feel utilizes national marketing assets when possible while also following national/global creative guidelines
Leverage national Brand Calendar and Shopper Marketing guidance to sell in brand plan to non-shopper managed regional accounts
Collaborate with regional sales, national product marketing and national shopper marketing teams to drive consumer engagement at retail
Lead POS strategy for the region
ADVERTISING & CREATIVE
Provide Advertising Team local insights to guide the planning and execution of regional advertising plans
Consult on media plans and creative to ensure that media mix and creatives will resonate with local consumers
Guide creative agencies to deliver world class creative output
LEADERSHIP
Act as a role model and display the Red Bull values with a consistent tone of voice that is motivating and inspiring
Provide ongoing coaching and support for team of Brand and Consumer Collecting Managers
Build the annual objectives for Regional Brand team members and conduct on-going, mid-year and end of year performance evaluations
Accountable for local Consumer Collecting resource allocation
Ensure Region Consumer Collecting and Collegiate Marketing KPIs are achieved
Build a strong, transparent, trusting partnership and cooperation with management and employees
10+ years of brand marketing experience
Strong experience in consumer marketing and retail activation, preferably in a CPG environment
An understanding and working knowledge of digital and social media
Experience curating and implementing strategies in local markets
Use insights and partner with accounts to build local programs that grow consumption
Experience managing successful teams and growing talent
Experience managing budgets and working with traditional and non-traditional brand marketing strategies
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Must be fluent in English, additional language skills an advantage
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a valid visa.
The base salary range for this position is $115,280 to $172,920 + cash incentives Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
