Benefits Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Accountant who will oversee reconciliations, reporting, and analysis of employee benefit programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of benefit-related accounts, including healthcare and retirement plans
  • Collaborate with the People Team to ensure accurate recording of benefit costs and resolve discrepancies
  • Analyze benefit expenses and trends to provide insights and reporting to finance and HR leadership
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in payroll tax or benefits accounting
  • Proficient in Excel and capable of handling large data sets
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and benefits-related financial reporting
  • Experience with research and analysis of financial data
  • Workday experience is a plus, but not required
