Summary: To service vacant and occupied guest rooms in accordance with ZaZa Standards.
Essential Functions:
• Responds to all guest requests appropriately for extra amenities or needed items in room
• Depending upon the occupancy volume, is responsible for servicing an determined assigned number of guest rooms for cleaning on a daily basis
• Know and follow proper cleaning and servicing procedures for all room types
• Keep the supply cart neat and organized at all times
• Gather own supplies/equipment/amenities as needed daily
• Checks all equipment prior to and after its use to ensure that it is in good working order (no stashing of any housekeeping equipment or supplies)
• Report any broken items found in rooms to Engineering or supervisor
• Removes room service tables and trays from guest rooms and set in hallway
• Turn in any found articles to a supervisor or return it to the Housekeeping office. Follow proper lost & found procedures
• Follow all proper Hotel safety policies and procedures and use safety equipment as needed
Working Environment:
• Interior of hotel. Exposure to extreme heat and humidity.
• Exposure to hazardous laundry cleaning chemicals
• Potential exposure to HAZCOM materials/ OSHA training
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to:
• Stand;
• Walk;
• Use hands to handle, or feel;
• Reach with hands and arms;
• Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;
• Talk or hear and taste or smell;
• Sitting;
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; ability to push or pull objects
• Specific vision abilities required by this job to see, read, write, and use a computer
• Must be able to communicate with guests in English.
