Texas Licensed Accounting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Manager, Accounting to oversee accounting operations and manage a team of accountants.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes, ensuring timelines are met
• Supervise and train staff and senior accountants while processing financial transactions in General Ledgers
• Ensure compliance with SOX, support audits, and prepare financial reporting packages for management

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting or 8+ years of private industry accounting experience with prior management experience
• Thorough understanding of US GAAP principles and SOX internal control environments
• Bachelor's degree in accounting with an active CPA license strongly preferred
• Ability to handle ambiguity and engage with multi-level staff
• Prior experience in managed care industry and corporate accounting preferred
