Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Employment Program Manager to provide individualized support and guidance to individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment. The Employment Program Manager will work closely with clients to develop job readiness skills, identify suitable employment opportunities, and provide ongoing support to ensure successful integration into the workforce. The ideal candidate will have a passion for empowering others and a commitment to helping individuals achieve their employment goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Management:
- Oversee and manage a team of job coaches, providing guidance and support.
- Assign caseloads and ensure job coaches are effectively meeting their clients’ needs.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
Training and Development:
- Develop and implement training programs for job coaches to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Conduct regular training sessions, workshops, and professional development activities.
- Stay updated on best practices in job coaching and share new strategies with the team.
Client Support and Monitoring:
- Ensure job coaches are assisting clients with job searches, applications, and interview preparation.
- Monitor the progress of clients and ensure they are meeting their employment goals.
- Address any issues or challenges clients face in their job search or employment.
Program Development and Implementation:
- Develop and implement job coaching programs and services tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with other departments and external organizations to enhance program offerings.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make improvements as necessary.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of client progress, coaching sessions, and outcomes.
- Prepare regular reports on the performance and impact of job coaching programs.
- Ensure all documentation complies with organizational and regulatory standards.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding job coaching services.
- Communicate effectively with employers, community partners, and other relevant parties.
- Foster positive relationships with employers to create job opportunities for clients.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure high standards of service delivery.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of job coaching practices and outcomes.
- Address any quality issues promptly and develop action plans for improvement.
Crisis Management:
- Address and resolve any crises or emergencies that arise with clients or within the coaching team.
- Provide support and guidance to job coaches dealing with difficult client situations.
- Develop and implement crisis management protocols.
Advocacy and Outreach:
- Advocate for clients’ needs and rights within the organization and community.
- Conduct outreach to promote job coaching services and attract new clients.
- Participate in community events, job fairs, and networking opportunities to enhance program visibility.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, human services, or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, diverse populations, or other barriers to employment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local labor market trends, job search strategies, and employment resources.
- Familiarity with disability rights laws, accommodations, and vocational rehabilitation services.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude towards clients.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
