Senior Oncology Marketing Communications Manager (Digital/Social Media Channels)

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Manager, Marketing Communications to lead the strategic development and execution of digital and social media marketing initiatives for our oncology portfolio. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep expertise in digital communications, social media strategies, and a strong understanding of the oncology landscape. The ideal candidate will craft compelling campaigns that effectively engage key audiences, drive brand awareness, and support business objectives in a competitive and rapidly evolving market.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital and social media communication strategies tailored to oncology audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and advocacy groups.
  • Align digital campaigns with broader marketing objectives to enhance brand visibility and impact.

Content Development and Management:

  • Oversee the creation, curation, and distribution of high-quality, engaging, and compliant content for digital platforms, including websites, social media channels, email marketing, and other digital touchpoints.
  • Ensure messaging is consistent, scientifically accurate, and resonates with target audiences.

Social Media Leadership:

  • Manage the company’s social media presence for oncology-related initiatives, including strategy, content, monitoring, and engagement.
  •  Monitor emerging trends, platforms, and best practices to optimize performance and engagement.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including brand marketing, medical affairs, compliance, and external agencies, to ensure alignment and flawless execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers, key opinion leaders, and advocacy organizations in the oncology space.

Analytics and Optimization:

  • Track, analyze, and report on the performance of digital and social media campaigns, using data-driven insights to refine strategies.
  • Set KPIs and benchmarks, ensuring campaigns deliver measurable results.

Compliance and Industry Standards:

  • Ensure all communications adhere to regulatory, legal, and industry standards, particularly in the oncology and pharmaceutical fields.
  • Stay updated on guidelines impacting digital communications in healthcare.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing and social media management, with a focus on oncology or healthcare communications.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing successful digital campaigns.
  • Expertise in content creation, storytelling, and audience engagement strategies for digital and social platforms.
  • Strong understanding of oncology, including key stakeholders, patient journeys, and industry trends.
