About the Opportunity

Salsify is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to drive exceptional results in a B2B SaaS environment. As a Senior Sales Engineer at Salsify, you secure the technical win for prospects and customers which comprise of the most well-known brand manufacturers in the world.

Senior Sales Engineers are experts in identifying and aligning with our prospects’ and customers’ business goals, showcasing how our platform delivers value. In this role, you'll work alongside our Sales team to target, win, and expand business, while collaborating with cross-functional teams like Product and Customer Success. This strategic alignment is key to achieving high win rates and ensuring customer success.

We have found that the most successful Senior Sales Engineers have strong technical aptitude and are confident and strategic storytellers who can weave a complex solution into connecting with brands and optimizing how they are navigating the ever-changing eCommerce landscape. As a team, we are very passionate and always ready to dive in and execute.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Support the Sales team with activities required to secure the technical win and deliver business value - including participating in discovery sessions, developing solutions, leading product demonstrations and architecture reviews, and driving deal strategy
  • Identify and present solutions that address functional and technical requirements to organizations of all industries and sizes
  • Maintain technical knowledge of Salsify’s product offerings and customer success stories in order to tie functionality back to desired business outcomes
  • Build great relationships and trust with prospects and customers by providing industry thought leadership and expertise
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales Engineering team and cross-functional teams:
    • With Product to advocate for customer needs and influence product roadmap
    • With Customer Success to set customers up for ongoing adoption and growth
    • With Professional Services to understand and prioritize services scope
    • With Marketing to be the face of product messaging and provide market feedback


You'll Enjoy This Role If You Have:

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Solutions Consultant for B2B SaaS solutions
  • Positive, team player mentality with strong time management, organization, and presentation skills
  • Deep technical aptitude and curiosity for learning new technologies in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative and open approach to problem solving and partnering with internal teams to drive what’s best for the customer and for Salsify
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in written responses to emails, customer requirements, and formal RFPs
  • Experience with solutions that involve cross-departmental stakeholders and require customer’s change in process
  • Familiarity with PIM, DAM, and/or Commerce solutions preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in French preferred but not required
  • Ability and willingness for 25-30% travel

The posted compensation range reflects the base salary for this position. In addition to base salary, some eligible roles may also have a commission plan or a bonus incentive. All Salsify employees receive equity in the form of stock options. All full-time employees are invited to participate in our Total Rewards plan, which includes health & medical benefits, PTO, and more. Offers to join Salsify are based on a few criteria, including the scope of the role, the candidate’s work experience, targeted skills, internal equity of the team, and external market data.
National Pay Range
€56.355€66.300 EUR
