Position Summary

Samsung SDS plays a leading role in the global logistics market with unique logistics services. With its innovative IT technology, SDS developed the integrated logistics solution called “Cello” in 2010, started its logistics business in 2012 and expanded its logistics business with Business Process Outsourcing.

The Logistics Operations Supervisor is in charge of managing daily logistics operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly. This role is the connection between the team, other departments, and external partners to keep the supply chain working without issues. The supervisor’s job is to guide the team, solve problems, and ultimately ensure that customer service and company standards are met. 

This position needs a strategic leader with good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to help the team achieve their goals and perform well.

Responsibilities

  • Create and process all import/export shipment documentation
  • Manage the shipper and destination account
  • Coordinate and communicate with airlines
  • Communicate effectively with account agents to accommodate client instructions
  • Coordinate with carriers to expedite documentation and ensure timely delivery
  • Provide accurate daily tracking reports with origin and destination information updated
  • Identifying and resolving operational challenges, such as shipment delays or compliance issues
  • Lead and motivate the logistics team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment
  • Analyze current workflows and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, reduce errors, and achieve cost savings
  • Provide training and support to team members to enhance skill sets and operational knowledge
  • Coordinate daily work schedule with teammates to achieve goals efficiently and on time
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in customer service, warehouse operations, or logistics operations required
  • SAP and logistics systems experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Experience in analyzing current workflows and implementing or streamlining operational efficiency, reduce errors, and achieve cost savings
  • Detail-oriented and excellent problem-solving skills to handle high-pressure and fast-paced operations
  • Ability to travel up to 5% to South America (Brazil)
  • Warehouse inventory maintenance experience is preferred
  • Proven ability to adapt to high-pressure situations, manage multiple priorities, and maintain focus on achieving targets even during unexpected disruptions or resource constraints
