Intern, Marketing Studio

What's the Short Version?

SanMar's Summer Internship Program is designed to provide aspiring professionals with hands-on work experience. Interns will gain valuable insights into department specific skills or experiences, helping them prepare for future careers. Our program is meant to focus on learning & development and mentorship; a chance for the intern to be exposed to job specific requirements in a corporate setting. This program is open to undergraduate and graduate students from diverse academic backgrounds.

 
Department Interns are responsible for supporting department staff on a temporary basis over a multi-week program, typically 8-12 weeks depending on student schedule and department support needed. We provide training, guidance and support as well as the opportunity to experience the retail and e-Commerce industry from the inside and gain valuable work experience.

As a Marketing Studio Intern you will support several areas of the Marketing Operations team; Studio Operations, Shoot Production, Activation team, Imaging and Sample Management at our Seattle Studio.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Photo Assistant work including lighting, set building and photo ingestion, naming, organization, etc.
• Assist with merchandise coordination; receive, label, pack/unpack merchandise to and from our studio.
• Studio facility maintenance and assistance in workshop including set builds, equipment maintenance and painting.
• Activation/Tradeshow production support including prepping booth properties/samples, portable booth kits, inventory, and reordering.
• Conduct a variety of general administrative tasks for the department or departments as assigned.
• Job shadow various members of the department and assist them as needed.
• Participate in intern cohort activities including: professional development workshops, warehouse tours, and meetings with leadership.
• May prepare correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials.
• May perform data entry activities, database management operations and file maintenance.
• May perform or support special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all policies and standards.

What's Our Offer?

Salary Range: You`ll earn $21.39 on an hourly basis.

Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked.

What Should You Expect?

SanMar's Seattle Marketing Studio office is located in Seattle, WA in the Seattle metropolitan area. This role requires work to be done in our Studio Monday through Friday each week. Our standard working hours are 8:00-5:00 PST. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Work environment is moderately quiet. Ability to work on computer for multiple hours with frequent interruptions. Quarterly travel may be required.
