About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analysis Manager to serve as a key advisor and thought partner to the CFO, driving deep financial analysis, business insights, and strategic decision-making. This role is about cutting through complexity, solving hard problems, and enabling better decisions through data.
The ideal candidate is a sharp, analytical finance leader with strong business acumen, a bias for action, and a deep understanding of financial and operational drivers. This role will work across the organization, providing strategic insights, evaluating opportunities, and ensuring the company is making data-driven decisions that support growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic & Business Analysis
- Act as a trusted thought partner to the CFO, providing financial and operational insights that support executive decision-making.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses into pricing, contract profitability, capital allocation, cost structures, and market opportunities to support strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate program economics, investment trade-offs, and risk-adjusted returns for key business decisions.
- Build decision frameworks that help simplify complexity and drive clarity for the leadership team.
- Financial Strategy & Capital Allocation
- Assess capital investment opportunities, make-buy decisions, and potential M&A targets from a financial and strategic standpoint.
- Work closely with the CFO to shape long-term financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business growth and capital efficiency.
- Optimize cash flow, working capital, and cost structures to maximize return on investment.
- Operational & Cost Insights
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to improve cost efficiency, streamline processes, and drive better financial outcomes.
- Analyze pricing models, cost curves, and supply chain dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
- Support government contracting compliance by ensuring adherence to CAS, FAR, and DFARS regulations where applicable.
- Special Projects & Executive Support
- Lead high-impact, ad-hoc strategic projects that require financial rigor and business insight.
- Act as a sounding board and problem-solver for the CFO, taking on complex analyses that don’t fit neatly into traditional finance roles.
- Prepare board materials, investor presentations, and executive-level reports that tell a clear, data-driven story.
Qualifications: - 7-12+ years of experience in finance, strategy, investment banking, consulting, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong financial modeling, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Deep business acumen—you understand how financials connect to strategy and operations.
- Ability to dive into the details while keeping the big picture in mind.
- Experience with government contracting, manufacturing, or defense technology is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
