Senior Manager, Financial Analysis

Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing defense autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations for the Department of Defense (DoD) through autonomous and intelligent platforms.

Location: Austin, TX

Reports To: CFO

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analysis Manager to serve as a key advisor and thought partner to the CFO, driving deep financial analysis, business insights, and strategic decision-making. This role is about cutting through complexity, solving hard problems, and enabling better decisions through data.

The ideal candidate is a sharp, analytical finance leader with strong business acumen, a bias for action, and a deep understanding of financial and operational drivers. This role will work across the organization, providing strategic insights, evaluating opportunities, and ensuring the company is making data-driven decisions that support growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic & Business Analysis
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to the CFO, providing financial and operational insights that support executive decision-making.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses into pricing, contract profitability, capital allocation, cost structures, and market opportunities to support strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate program economics, investment trade-offs, and risk-adjusted returns for key business decisions.
  • Build decision frameworks that help simplify complexity and drive clarity for the leadership team.
  • Financial Strategy & Capital Allocation
  • Assess capital investment opportunities, make-buy decisions, and potential M&A targets from a financial and strategic standpoint.
  • Work closely with the CFO to shape long-term financial strategy, ensuring alignment with business growth and capital efficiency.
  • Optimize cash flow, working capital, and cost structures to maximize return on investment.
  • Operational & Cost Insights
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to improve cost efficiency, streamline processes, and drive better financial outcomes.
  • Analyze pricing models, cost curves, and supply chain dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support government contracting compliance by ensuring adherence to CAS, FAR, and DFARS regulations where applicable.
  • Special Projects & Executive Support
  • Lead high-impact, ad-hoc strategic projects that require financial rigor and business insight.
  • Act as a sounding board and problem-solver for the CFO, taking on complex analyses that don’t fit neatly into traditional finance roles.
  • Prepare board materials, investor presentations, and executive-level reports that tell a clear, data-driven story.

Qualifications:
  • 7-12+ years of experience in finance, strategy, investment banking, consulting, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong financial modeling, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Deep business acumen—you understand how financials connect to strategy and operations.
  • Ability to dive into the details while keeping the big picture in mind.
  • Experience with government contracting, manufacturing, or defense technology is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

Why This Role?
  • This is a high-impact, highly visible role that will shape the company’s trajectory. You’ll work directly with the CFO, tackling the company’s most critical financial and strategic questions. If you thrive on solving tough problems, driving clarity in ambiguity, and influencing key decisions, this is the role for you.
