The Accounting Intern will support the team in various reporting areas with a focus on accounts payable. This role will report to the Senior Accountant. This internship is based in our New York City Headquarters, and we work on hybrid schedule with three days in office. The program dates are June 4th to August 20th (12 weeks). The pay range for this position is $16.50/hour.

The Accounting Intern will work on the following:
- Approve expense reports for reimbursement in Concur ensuring adherence to the Company’s corporate travel policies
- Record T&E reimbursements into the ERP system, NetSuite
- Onboard and offboard Employees in Concur
- Monitor AP Inbox and Corporate Card Inbox responding to emails as needed
- Approve and process bills in NetSuite
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Assist with vendor onboarding
- Special projects as assigned

Sol de Janeiro’s Internship Program requirements:
- You are a student at an accredited University or College
- You are local to the NYC area for a 12-week internship program
- You have interest in the business areas listed above with some relevant coursework, student clubs, and/or internship experience
- Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point

In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
