The Director of Global Sales Operations will be reporting to Managing Director - Client Solutions and will lead and optimize the sales operations function and bid management processes across all across all global regions within the organization.This strategic role will focus on driving global sales performance, optimizing sales processes, and ensuring the preparation and submission of high-quality, competitive bids and proposals for design and build projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior leadership, regional teams, and cross-functional departments to streamline operations, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
● Global Client Solutions Strategy and Execution:.
○ Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute the global sales strategy, focusing on revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion in the design and build industry.
○ Lead strategic initiatives that align with corporate goals and empower the sales teams to meet their targets.
● Sales Process Optimization and Standardization:
○ Drive continuous improvement in global sales processes by identifying inefficiencies,standardizing methodologies, and implementing best practices to increase overall sales performance.
○ Implement best practices across all regions to ensure a unified approach to sales operations.
● Sales Performance and Data Analytic:
○ Lead the creation of robust sales analytic frameworks.
○ Track key metrics such as individual sales performance, pipeline management, conversion rates, and forecast accuracy to provide leadership with insights and performance analysis.
● Sales Forecasting, Lead Generation and Funnel Management
○ Own the global sales forecasting process, ensuring accurate forecasting of sales performance and identification of growth opportunities.
○ Oversee & Monitor the sales pipeline from lead generation to conversion, analyze funnel performance, and address bottlenecks to improve conversion rates.
○ Conduct white space analysis to identify untapped markets and pipeline gaps. Develop strategies to target high-potential opportunities and collaborate with marketing teams on tailored solutions.
● Training:
Collaborate with training teams to develop and deliver training programs, and tools that enhance the skills and productivity of the sales teams globally. Ensure the adoption of tools and resources to drive high sales performance.
● Sales Technology Management:
Evaluate, implement, and manage CRM systems and other sales-related technologies to drive efficiency and automation. Ensure the effective use and adoption of technology across all regions.
● Bid Management and Proposal Development
○ Oversee the bid management process, ensuring the preparation, review, and submission of high-quality bids for design and build projects.
○ Lead the coordination of cross-functional teams to develop winning proposals that meet client needs and align with the company’s strategic goals.
○ Drive the standardization of bid processes to ensure timely submission of competitive bids that maximize win rates & track the progress of bids and proposals, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with strategic goals.
○ Provide leadership in developing and maintaining pricing strategies, scope definitions, and detailed proposals to ensure consistency and competitiveness.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Digital Marketing,Design, Project management, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives. Collaborate on pricing strategies, and promotionalactivities.
● Market and Competitive Intelligence:
Support the Client Solutions teams with up-to-date market intelligence and competitor analysis. Ensure the sales teams are equipped with the latest industry trends and information to gain a competitive edge.
● Change Management:
Lead initiatives for process improvement and organizational change. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, scalability, and operational excellence across the global sales function.
● Global Team Leadership and Support:
Provide leadership and strategic direction to the global sales operations team. Ensure alignment with corporate goals and regional needs, while providing support and guidance to regional sales leaders.
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
● Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Sales Operations, bidding or a related role, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
● Strong knowledge of global sales strategies, sales processes, and sales metrics.
● Deep understanding of sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analytics.
● Experience leading global, cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, and finance.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
● Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.
● Proven ability to manage change, lead initiatives, and drive adoption of new processes and technologies across diverse teams and regions.
● Advanced proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) and sales enablement tools.
