Trainee Tax Consultant- Gauteng

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Trainee Tax Consultant. This role is ideal for a self-starter, eager to develop expertise in South African tax laws while gaining hands-on experience in tax compliance and advisory services. As part of this dynamic team, you will assist in providing tax-related services to individuals, businesses, and corporations. Your responsibilities will include supporting senior tax consultants, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and contributing to high-quality client solutions. The ideal candidate should be highly organised, detail-oriented, and a team player with a keen interest in tax and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and review of corporate and personal tax returns.
• Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to provide clients with accurate advice.
• Support senior consultants in developing tax planning strategies for clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax legislation.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for clients.
• Help manage client relationships by providing excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with team members to accomplish departmental goals.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Strong interest in becoming a Tax Consultant.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• Special interest in Tax.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical and research skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Previous internship or relevant experience in tax preparation or consulting is a plus.
