Product Designer - Platform Tools

Text Platform’s mission is to empower customers by providing seamless integration with Text APIs. We have developed the Text.com Marketplace, where customers can purchase applications that extend our core products. These applications are created by external developers who join our Developer Program. Our job is to enable developers to build successful apps for our Marketplace.

We support developers from finding the right app idea, through developing the app with our tools, up to promotion & distribution. We build developer tools in Developer Console, run a community on Discord, provide technical support and business know-how.

As Product Designer in the Platform Tools team, you’ll get to shape the future of our developer platform, Developer Console. You’ll advise developers on the UX and UI of their apps and set standards for how these apps should look. You’ll work hand-in-hand with Ola, the PM, and will be mentored by a Senior Product Designer.

Here’s what you’ll be up to
  • Designing new developer tools in the Developer Console and in external libraries.
  • Enhancing existing designs and user flows to create an even better user experience.
  • Providing UI and UX feedback for Marketplace apps, communicating directly with app developers.
  • Using our Design System in your everyday work, and with time, contribute to it.
  • Participating in user interviews.
  • Working hand in hand with PM, discussing the shape of our product
  • Ensuring alignment of our product and other products from our Product Suite.
  • Occasionally, collaborating with another Platform team, taking care of the customer-side of the Marketplace.

You may be a good fit for this role if you
  • Bring 4+ years of design experience, ideally working on a technical product. You are fluent in Figma and FigJam or Miro;
  • Take ownership of your work. You’re a reliable team member others can count on. When faced with an obstacle, you proactively come up with solutions instead of waiting for someone to do it for you.
  • Have strong user empathy and good product taste. You always put yourself in users’ shoes and have high standards in terms of user experience.
  • Communicate clearly with various types of stakeholders. You’ll work with engineering, management, as well as C-level executives.
  • Have a basic knowledge of modern web development, an aptitude for learning and are not afraid to ask questions. We don’t require you to be a technical expert with up-to-date coding skills, but you need to be able to grasp technical concepts. A couple of examples for reference: API, SDK, webhooks, iframes, server-side apps.
  • Think beyond just design. You’re in tune with product strategy and business goals;

Who we are:

We’re a multidisciplinary team of 5 (frontend & backend developers, QA, PM). We’re part of Platform, a bigger unit, where we collaborate closely with our sister-team responsible for the Marketplace. We’re a little nerdy; we like The Office, The Lord of the Rings, and memes. We like to get together but we’re not bungee jumpers - our level of crazy is visiting a museum, grabbing a drink, and going to bed before midnight. Sounds exciting? You might be our kind.

How we work

We have implemented a hybrid workplace, in which our team in Wrocław and nearby (up to 50 km), follows a 3/2 model: three days in the office to foster creativity, teamwork, and social interaction, and two days working from home.

If you’re based outside of Wrocław, you'll work in the office for three days each month to maintain valuable face-to-face connections, while continuing to contribute significantly to product development remotely.

Benefits

We don’t want you to worry about all the basic benefits - like a Multisport card, private health care, or a home office equipment budget.

What we really want you to feel and what we believe in is that the real benefits come from the culture we’ve built.

With a hybrid work model (whether it's three days per week or three days per month, depending on your location), unlimited paid days off and sick days policy, an environment focused on outcomes instead of worked hours, and people dedicated to their work, you’ll find a workplace where you can thrive.

And here’s the icing on the cake: you’ll have the opportunity to work with the makers behind all Text products: LiveChat, ChatBot, HelpDesk, KnowledgeBase, OpenWidget.

Are you feeling like this might be a great place to consider working for? We feel it too ;) Join us and apply.
