IT Systems Analyst

As a Systems Analyst at TKDA, you will collaborate with IT professionals to provide both on-site and remote technical support to a diverse group of Architects, Engineers, Planners, and Scientists. 


Work Arrangement: Flexible/hybrid work arrangements (3 days in office / 2 days remote per week) will be considered for self-starter and self-sufficient professionals who have demonstrated an ability to work and/or learn successfully in a remote work environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing desktop support, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PC hardware, software, and computer system applications.
  • Setting up and configuring equipment at workstations and in conference rooms.
  • Orienting others on the proper use of equipment.
  • Maintaining, prioritizing, and resolving daily service requests.
  • Conducting diagnostics and performing necessary application and system upgrades.


In addition to helpdesk duties, you will also take on systems analyst responsibilities such as:
  • Managing and resolving service requests and incidents.
  • Configuring and maintaining workstations and conference room equipment.
  • Coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful implementation of new systems or upgrades.
  • Designing and documenting system solutions, including workflows, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Developing and executing test plans to validate system functionality and performance.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting system issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Conducting training sessions to ensure end-users are proficient in using systems.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions.
  • Ensuring systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with organizational standards and policies.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including user guides and training materials.
  • Analyzing existing systems to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborating with other IT team members to improve processes and systems.


Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree and/or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems analysis, design, or related roles.
  • Experience with Exchange online administration, Windows Server Operating Systems, and SharePoint administration.
  • Proficiency with Active Directory services such as DHCP, DNS, and group policy.
  • Strong understanding of system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite applications (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Proficiency in analyzing and documenting workflows and business processes.
  • Experience with system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Good understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills demonstrated by a positive, helpful demeanor.
  • Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written to a wide range of end-users.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team setting.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and transport computer equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience providing IT support to CAD users.
  • Previous experience providing technical support to remote users.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Microsoft Operating System Certification(s).
  • Microsoft Office Suite Certification(s).
  • A+ Certification.
  • Previous experience in a hybrid work environment.


$83,200 - $93,600 a year
