Global Integrated Marketing Manager

At Too Good To Go we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to take action against food waste. More than 1/3 of all food produced in the world is wasted, and that has a huge impact on the environment: 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss.

We operate the world’s largest B2C marketplace for surplus food. Through this app we connect businesses that have unsold, surplus food with consumers who can buy and enjoy it at a reduced price. We are a certified B Corporation with a mission to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together. Alongside our marketplace, we create educational tools, deliver business solutions and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.

We’re growing fast: Our community of 100 million registered users across 19 countries has already saved more than 400 million meals from going to waste - together avoiding more than 1 million tonnes of CO2e. In 2023, Apple recognised Too Good To Go as Winner at the prestigious annual App Store Awards, for our app’s exceptional user experience and profound impact on society.

We look for talented people with diverse backgrounds to join our team. Right now, we’re recruiting an Integrated Marketing Manager to join the Global Marketing team.

Your role

As Global Integrated Marketing Manager, you will report to the Head of Global Marketing Strategic Planning. You’ll lead the creation of insight-driven, integrated marketing strategies that align with company objectives and enhance consumer engagement across all touchpoints. Focused on strategic planning and consumer insights, you’ll guide the direction of our marketing efforts to optimize user acquisition and retention while strengthening the brand presence. The ideal candidate will reinforce cross-functional and cross-market collaboration to ensure marketing initiatives align with business goals and reflect a deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior.

Your Responsibilities

GLOBAL CAMPAIGNS

  • Campaign Strategy: Develop comprehensive, data-led strategies for integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring that each initiative supports the defined business goals. In alignment with global and local stakeholders, identify the best mix of channels, timing, messaging, and resources to reach the intended audience effectively.
  • Creative Briefing: Create insight-driven briefs using customer data, market research, and campaign objectives to guide the creative process. Articulate target audience needs, preferences, and behaviors to inform impactful creative concepts. Collaborate with creative teams to ensure insights are integrated into the campaign, optimizing alignment with strategic goals.
  • Channel Integration: Develop comprehensive, multi-channel marketing plans that integrate paid, owned and earned channels to achieve campaign objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align channel strategies with broader business goals, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely execution. Ensure consistency in messaging, branding, and creatives across all channels, optimizing the customer experience at every touchpoint.
  • Measurement and evaluation: Define what success looks like, key performance indicators, ensure a comprehensive tracking and testing setup across channels, and analyze results to assess effectiveness and ROI. Use data and insights to provide actionable recommendations for optimization and future campaign strategies. Share recommendations with key cross-functional stakeholders to ensure they are understood and acted upon.

CONSUMER INSIGHTS

  • Bi-annual User Surveys: Lead the bi-annual user survey, collecting valuable data on customer preferences and behaviors to inform marketing and creative strategies, and to help improve the end to end user experience.
  • User Panel Testing: Own and manage our user panel to gather insights, test concepts, and validate hero content, ensuring marketing strategies are rooted in real user feedback
  • Insights Champion: Act as the advocate for consumer insights within the global and local marketing team, ensuring that all strategies and campaigns are informed by direct consumer feedback and data. Collate and share survey results and market research insights with key cross-functional stakeholders to make sure they are digested and acted upon.

MARKET ENABLEMENT

  • Toolkit Development: In alignment with key global and local stakeholders, lead the development and briefing of strategic marketing toolkits, including creative templates and planning guidelines, enabling local marketing teams to drive demand short term.
  • Strategic Consultancy: Act as the center of excellence, supporting local marketing leaders in raising the standard for strategic marketing planning, adopting data-driven, consumer-centric approaches, ensuring that marketing strategies are grounded in deep consumer insights and measurable outcomes. By providing best practices, tools, and guidance, you will help elevate the effectiveness of local campaigns and drive consistent, impactful results across global markets.

MARKET EXPANSION

  • GTM Marketing Strategy: In alignment with key global and local cross-functional stakeholders, develop and brief a global marketing launch pack, including creatives and planning guidelines.
  • Strategic Consultancy: In the lead up to launch, you will act as the global marketing point of contact and thought marketing strategy partner for the local team.

Our requirements

  • Extensive experience working in multi-market, strategic marcom planning roles, preferably in-house at international consumer scale-ups and/or within international agencies.
  • Strategic and critical thinker with a consumer-centric mindset, who can develop and communicate structured plans based on consumer insights as well as qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent understanding of the interconnected role of marketing channels, across earned, owned and paid and experience from planning cross-lifecycle, integrated campaigns at an international scale.
  • Adept at analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data to derive actionable insights. This includes using data from various sources to identify trends, measure campaign effectiveness, and inform strategic decisions.
  • A self-starter who takes ownership of their workstreams with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to follow-through.
  • Agility, flexibility and a hands-on approach to constantly help find and implement effective ideas and solutions, within a dynamic, fast-paced scale-up environment.
  • Strong drive to continuously raise the bar in terms of excellence, creativity and collaboration
  • Keen eye for detail (both visual and verbal) to help ensure top-class quality and consistency.
  • Excellent stakeholder management: demonstrated experience and proficiency with diverse stakeholder management within an international matrix organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form.
  • Native-level English language proficiency.
  • Desire to make a tangible, positive impact on the world through your work.
