Veterinary Sales Associate - Salem to Southern Oregon

Company Description

Trupanion is a leading provider of medical insurance for cats and dogs in North America. Our mission is to help the pets we all love receive the veterinary care they need. Historically, pet owners have paid for veterinary care with discretionary income, savings, credit cards, or other loans. Medical care for a pet sometimes involves sophisticated and costly treatments that are out of reach for many owners. Those without medical coverage may be forced to choose less expensive, sub-standard alternatives. This puts veterinarians in the position of having to determine treatment options based on an owner’s finances.

Pet owners in the United States and Canada collectively own approximately 180 million dogs and cats and less than 3% have medical coverage for their pets. Hospitals see a benefit in their bottom line when they have a client base that has the ability to pay for treatments that may otherwise be out of their financial means. And Trupanion's dedication provides a solid foundation for the success of our Territory Partners, who reap the rewards of pets that stay enrolled through residual income.

Job Description

Are you an entrepreneurial sales professional with a passion for pet health? Trupanion, the leading pet health insurance provider, is seeking a Veterinary Sales Associate / Territory Partner Associate (TPA) to manage and grow our territory along the I-5 corridor from Salem, Oregon, to the southern border of the state. This dynamic role offers uncapped earning potential, a competitive salary-plus-commission structure, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of pets and their families.

Location Requirement: Candidates must reside within the territory (Salem, Oregon, to the southern border).

Event Participation

  • Represent Trupanion at local events, conferences, and expos to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.

What You'll Need

  • Creative and fun: Bring an engaging and innovative approach to sales.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a State Property and Casualty Insurance License.
  • Comfortable with being on the road five days a week.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: Competitive salary-plus-commission structure with uncapped earning potential, driven by your success in growing the territory. This is not an order-taking role – your success and rewards are tied to your ability to create and develop opportunities.

Benefits:

  • PTO and vacation.
  • 401(k) match.
  • Company-provided vehicle.
  • Ownership Opportunity: The right candidate will have the potential for ownership within the territory, offering long-term financial growth and professional advancement.
