Licensing Coordinator

Job Overview:

As a Sites Licensing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and streamlining licensing processes for telecommunications infrastructure. You will ensure all licensing activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company requirements while facilitating smooth network deployment. This position involves close collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities to secure and maintain necessary site licenses.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Licensing & Acquisition Coordination:

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to assess licensing feasibility for new site acquisitions.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks related to licensing and regulatory compliance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for contractors regarding licensing issues during the acquisition process.
• Work closely with engineering teams, EMF/DPL, and contractors to identify optimal sites that meet licensing criteria.
• Review Site Investigation Reports (SIRs) to ensure they align with project licensing requirements.
• Assign and oversee technical studies proposed by contractors to meet licensing standards.

Licensing Compliance & Regulatory Activities:

• Oversee the entire licensing process for telecommunications sites, ensuring full compliance with local and national regulations.
• Coordinate and manage licensing activities with contractors, ensuring timely approvals.
• Serve as the key liaison with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to facilitate and expedite licensing approvals.
• Prepare, submit, and track applications for new site licenses and renewals (including in-depth knowledge of ΣΗΛΥΑ regulations).
• Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation related to licensing activities.
• Address and resolve any regulatory concerns or issues that may arise during the licensing process.
• Monitor licensing-related budgets and expenses to align with financial targets.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

• Proven experience in site licensing, permitting, or regulatory compliance within the telecommunications industry.
• Strong understanding of local and national regulations governing telecommunications site licensing.
• Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work cross-functionally with different teams.
• Strong problem-solving and risk assessment skills to anticipate and resolve licensing challenges.
• Process improvement mindset—ability to identify inefficiencies and suggest workflow optimizations.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and database management tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with ΣΗΛΥΑ and other local regulatory frameworks.
• Prior experience working with municipal and government authorities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
