Job Description and Responsibilities
The Visa Rules, Compliance and Standards (RCS) team establishes operating principles and enforces common interoperable rules and standards for our products and services by which clients must operate their Visa programs within the ecosystem.
This is an operational role for a seasoned individual contributor, who will be responsible for receiving rule inquiries from internal business partners as well as external clients from various regions. The responsibility is to provide Clients and staff with accurate and consistent interpretation and analysis of the Visa Rules in response to verbal or written inquiries and / or proposed Client or Merchant activities and within established service level objectives. This role may require partnership across subject matter experts and partner teams to ensure complex inquiries are handled holistically and with quality. In addition, this role will be responsible for receiving rule proposals from rule authors from various regions and preparing the rule changes for publication in Visa rule books in various languages. The position will work independently under limited supervision and partner with rule authors and RCS Leaders from across the globe.

Qualifications
2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
•2 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or 0 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
•Experience in publication and/or procedure writing and governance or similar area
•Demonstrated knowledge and ability to evaluate business inquiries as it relates to Visa Rules and relevant standards to provide sound, rational responses
•Excellent written, verbal, and authoring skills to convey complex topics in an easily understandable way
•Fully computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
•Analytical aptitude and demonstrated track record of working with information and data to develop business-oriented responses
•Proven project management skills to co-ordinate divergent interests, commensurate with managing a multi-faceted compliance program at an international level
•Experience gathering business requirements and translating needs into successful deliverables
•Ability to apply a risk mindset and sound business analysis to provide consistent and appropriate responses
•Ability to effectively work under pressure, self-challenging and adhering to tight deadlines ensuring RCS maintains established service level objectives
•Ability to set priorities and manage expectations, and work both as part of a team and independently with attention to detail
•Extensive experience in Visa, a Membership organization, card industry or equivalent
•Experience with publication software, particularly MadCap Flare and / or Lingo
•Awareness and understanding of Visa and Client / Industry business priorities
•Understanding of Visa products, services and systems and knowledge of the Visa Rules
•Working (intermediate) knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint
•Extensive experience with Visa, a Regulatory Body, a Card Membership Organization or other Financial Industry body is highly desired.
•Visa experience or in-depth knowledge of the payment solutions industry is highly desired – especially Card Payments, ACH or Push Payments and the relevant network rules.
