Associate Performance Creative Strategist

The Role


Wpromote is looking for an Associate Performance Creative Strategist to embark on an exciting career journey in Performance Marketing. We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented individual with a hunger for learning, a passion for social media, a sharp creative eye, and a keen interest in pursuing a career in digital marketing.


As an Associate Strategist, Performance Creative, you will be the driving force behind supporting our Managers and Sr. Managers in crafting innovative concepts, executing creative strategies, and contributing to the success of our diverse clientele. With a focus on continuous learning and development, this position offers a unique opportunity for growth within a forward-thinking organization that has been a leader in the digital marketing industry for over two decades. This role will report to an Associate Director on the Performance Creative team. 


The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $65,000- $75,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. At Wpromote, pay ranges are subject to change and are based on specific market medians for similar jobs according to third-party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary due to skills, experience, and available budget. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above).

**While this role offers the flexibility to work remotely, we have office hubs in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where you can join in on learning and development opportunities, fun events, take advantage of a space to work, and collaborate in person!

You Will Be
  • Working collaboratively with Managers and Directors to learn platform, channel, and performance marketing best practices, synthesizing platform data into actionable insights, and working directly with Art Directors and Production Designers to turn those insights into net new or iterative creative concepts.
  • Assisting in organizing and facilitating creative strategy brainstorms and discussions, contributing fresh ideas to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Helping to develop the Creative Testing Roadmap based on the monthly sprint's testing plan, ensuring strategic alignment with client objectives.
  • Working directly with designers and art directors during initial QA on ads in production, promptly identifying and flagging issues to the Manager or Senior Manager.
  • Articulating the pros and cons of various ad units, demonstrating an understanding of their suitability for different business objectives.
  • Utilizing reporting tools and strategies to support account work and drive impactful results for client accounts.
  • Participating in tactical creative strategy development, contributing insights and ideas to enhance campaign performance.
  • Shadowing Managers and Senior Managers in account management, growing towards managing Small to Medium retainer clients with the support of the Associate Director, focusing on continuous learning and execution.
  • Working to expand your understanding and convey creative best practices for Paid Social and/or Paid Search, aligning strategies with the marketing funnel.
  • Developing your ability to pull, analyze, and synthesize platform data and familiarizing yourself with the available tools, platforms, and resources (navigating at least (2) native ads managers like Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, or Google).
  • Providing support for new client audits/deep dives as needed, contributing to the agency's success in revenue generation.


You Must Have
  • 1+ years of experience in digital marketing, paid social, performance marketing, or a related field, with exposure to creative strategy and campaign execution.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with paid media marketing and a strong understanding of the social media landscape; direct experience managing paid media campaigns is a plus.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a hunger for innovation.
  • The ability to work with diverse personalities and maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations.
  • A desire to grow and develop skills in performance marketing areas such as social media advertising, display advertising, or related channels.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and analytical curiosity around performance data.
  • A keen eye for high-performing creative, an active presence on social media platforms to stay informed on industry trends, and the ability to effectively communicate with creative team members,
  • High attention to detail when QA/QC-ing creative assets and providing feedback to creative teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in a professional setting.
  • Strong time management and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, or Google Suite, with a willingness to learn and grow on these platforms.

  • Previous advertising experience 
  • Experience with design or editing work
