Overview: The management consulting team provides consulting services, counsel, and thought leadership to clients and for internal initiatives. The Associate Vice President (official title upon hire will be Associate Vice President, Management Consulting) at Zuri Group holds a pivotal position in guiding the trajectory of our clients' success and elevating the standards of achievement in their fundraising, donor relations, and stewardship initiatives. As the Associate Vice President, you will lead dynamic project teams, guiding a spectrum of multifaceted projects encompassing advancement operations assessments, change management analysis, business process enhancement, and ecosystem evaluation. Our client portfolio extends to encompass healthcare systems, universities, arts and cultural organizations, and other non-profit entities. Your role will also involve high-level oversight and client relationships concerning fit-gap assessments, driving system selections, orchestrating ecosystem planning, and making substantial client-facing contributions to software implementation activities.
Job Responsibilities- Oversee and manage a portfolio of client relationships and communication; collaborate with the President on identifying, communicating with, and soliciting prospects.
- Engage with current clients to identify “lead-to”, “build-upon”, and “flow” sales opportunities.
- Partner closely with senior leaders to align all advancement and fundraising portfolio of offerings with the Zuri Group mission, strategy, communication goals, and program needs.
- Assists the President and Vice President(s) in Management Consulting in planning and coordinating delivery of company goals by operationalizing strategic initiatives.
- Conduct strategic and comprehensive assessments and provide customized guidance on the existing state of fundraising ecosystems, addressing organizational, technical, operational, and procedural needs, with a specific focus on donor relations and stewardship activities.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and develop strategies to optimize processes, ultimately enhancing organizational efficiency, resulting in improved fundraising outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with clients to co-create and implement effective fundraising plans and strategies that align with their unique goals and objectives.
- Lead data-driven decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, and presenting findings to project teams and stakeholders
- Guide client engagements to transform their work execution and strengthen fundraising and engagement programs.
- Drive innovation in client advancement operations by identifying emerging trends, best practices, technological advancements, and digital tools through in-depth market research and analysis.
- Direct, oversee, and evaluate functional and technical requirements for projects, ensuring they align with client objectives.
- Provide training and coaching to client staff, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in advancement operations.
- Participate in our knowledge-sharing culture by contributing to internal documentation and best practices.
- Proactively offer recommendations and best practice counsel to support clients in achieving their goals through advancement operations, development services, software system configuration, customizations, process improvement, information delivery, and staff training.
- Direct enterprise-level engagements with complex clients, showcasing your ability to navigate intricate consulting scenarios.

Relevant Skills & Experience- Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in advancement/development services or working as a senior consultant, demonstrating a deep understanding in this field or industry adjacent.
- Bachelor's degree or 7-10 years of relevant leadership experience, showcasing your qualifications to excel in this role.
- Experience working with Salesforce, especially if you participated or lead a Salesforce implementation.
- Experience working with large non-profit or higher education organizations, with knowledge of applicable fundraising and business processes.
- Ability to think creatively on prospecting, soliciting, and stewarding new and existing clients
- Have deep experience leading and or consulting on development/advancement organizations, including strategy development and execution.
- Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge in fundraising and the non-profit industry.
- Capability to direct broad projects (technical, procedural, organizational) for large clients.
- Ability to explore and assess substantial complexity and discern and develop actionable recommendations and work plans.
- Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new environments, new tools, and software usage.
- Drive to solve problems efficiently, creatively, and independently.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues for broader solutioning of client/project needs
- Demonstrated writing and communication skills that engage multiple audiences.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English sufficient to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and staff effectively and accurately through all levels of the agency.

Bonus Points- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Affinaquest RM, and/or Kindsight Ascend

Salary range for this role is $180,000 to $195,000 per year, depending on experience.
