Job Description 

Store Maintenance at A&F Co. is committed to maintaining our stores to reflect the quality standards associated with our brands.  We dedicate ourselves to corporate and regulatory compliance, as well as ensuring proper operation of all aspects of the physical space to create an optimal, safe and cost-effective environment for our customers and associates.  As a Manager, you will oversee a team responsible for all maintenance related activities and vendors for an assigned region of stores.

This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.  

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Maintaining company standards for the appearance and operation of stores
  • Managing up to five direct reports, providing training and continuous development
  • Overseeing creation and management of maintenance budgets
  • Establishing departmental processes / procedures and performing regular audits to ensure compliance
  • Leading development and function of maintenance programs
  • Leading development of process improvements with focus on efficiency, effective communication and spend reduction
  • Managing vendors to A&F performance and quality expectations
  • Oversee delegation and execution of brand and construction projects including roll outs, remodels, new stores, and closings
  • Collaborating with and maintaining positive working relationships with senior cross-functional partners (Store Operations, Asset Protection, Health & Safety, Real Estate, etc.)

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or related experience
  • 5-10 years of relevant professional experience
  • 3+ years of retail maintenance or facilities management experience in a multi-site setting
  • Relevant technical knowledge of general maintenance / facilities management including trades:  HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting
  • Proven ability to successfully lead a team 
  • Strong organization, time management and delegation skills
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Extremely detail oriented and the ability to work and learn independently
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to identify, research and resolve issues
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Project
  • Experience using Fexa CMMS software preferred
