The Above and Beyond Therapy Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is responsible for supporting and managing various HR functions related to staff within the ABA therapy setting. This role involves handling employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and more. The HR Generalist works closely with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure a positive and efficient work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions or concerns regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues.
Support managers in resolving employee relations matters in a professional and respectful manner.
Promote a positive and supportive work environment, ensuring alignment with company values and mission.
Compliance & Record Keeping:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, especially as they relate to the healthcare and therapy industries.
Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, performance reviews, certifications, and disciplinary actions, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Benefits Administration:
Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company offerings.
Assist employees with benefits inquiries and help ensure timely enrollment and processing of benefits.
Payroll & Compensation Support:
Work closely with the payroll department to ensure accurate processing of employee compensation, including salaries, hourly wages, and overtime.
Support compensation benchmarking to ensure the company remains competitive in attracting and retaining top talent.
HR Reporting & Metrics:
Maintain HR metrics and reporting systems to track turnover, employee satisfaction, and other key HR indicators.
Provide regular reports to leadership to aid in decision-making and HR strategy.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
Relevant HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
Experience:
At least 2-3 years of HR experience, ideally in healthcare, behavioral health, or therapy settings.
Knowledge of HR functions including employee relations, benefits, payroll, and compliance.
Familiarity with ABA therapy industry practices is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, especially in the healthcare and therapy fields.
Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive issues professionally.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficient in HR software, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Empathetic, approachable, and solution-oriented.
Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to navigate sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and integrity.
