Product Manager - Environment Management / Sandbox

The Role 

Addepar is seeking a talented Product Manager to lead the development and scaling of its sandbox and environment management strategy. Sandbox is our product that provides clients with a secure, isolated environment for testing, development, and training, ensuring their production systems remain unaffected. In this role, you will define the product vision and roadmap for how sandbox environments are provisioned, managed, and scaled to meet the needs of our clients and internal teams. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver a robust, scalable solution that supports experimentation, integration testing, and enhanced client workflows. Your work will empower teams and clients to accelerate innovation while maintaining reliability and security.

What You'll Do 

• Develop and implement the product vision for Addepar’s sandbox environments, ensuring they meet the needs of both internal teams and external clients.
• Define and drive the roadmap for how sandbox and environment management processes scale across Addepar’s platform, supporting use cases such as testing, experimentation, and development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize features, ensuring the solution enables secure, flexible, and easy-to-use environments for all users.
• Lead the development of key features from requirements gathering to delivery, focusing on scalability, automation, and seamless user experiences.
• Work closely with Engineering to build infrastructure and tooling that supports efficient environment provisioning, monitoring, and management.
• Ensure reliability and security by embedding compliance and data protection best practices into sandbox management processes.
• Continuously improve workflows by gathering feedback, monitoring key performance metrics, and iterating on features to optimize usability and efficiency.
• Communicate updates to stakeholders and align teams around the strategic priorities for sandbox and environment management.

Who You Are 

• 8+ years of product management experience, ideally with developer tools, infrastructure, or platform products.
• Familiarity with environment management solutions, cloud platforms, and DevOps tooling. Experience with APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and provisioning workflows is a plus.
• Proven ability to understand customer needs and deliver solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency for both internal and external users.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills, with a track record of working effectively across engineering, design, and client success teams.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, prioritizing trade-offs, and delivering impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have expereince with public clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP)

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with tools and workflows used by developers to test and deploy code.
• Experience managing products with complex scaling needs, such as provisioning or resource management.
• Hands-on experience with scrum or other agile development frameworks.
• Understanding of platform-based solutions and strategies for enabling extensibility and reuse
