Event Manager

Location

This is a hybrid Sydney-based role; you must be able to attend our Barangaroo office as required. Official in-office days are Tuesdays and Thursdays, but reasonable flexibility is expected, as dictated by client and team needs.

 

Where does this role fit within the overall business? As an Event Manager, you will be working directly with a Business Director to deliver events and experiences for the agency’s key clients. You will need to possess an excellent track record in experiential/events, while demonstrating an overall level of performance that ensures client and campaign success.  

 

Overview

We’re searching for a relationship and results-driven individual to join the team. Minimum 3 years’ agency experience, sound knowledge of production, strong client service and team management skills are required. This is a broad and varied role within a small team where you will undertake a variety of tasks and responsibilities across production and client services.

  • Proven ability to successfully produce events with multidisciplinary teams/departments
  • Excellent project management, organisational, delegation and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills - internally and externally

  • Ability to problem solve on the fly and remain composed under pressure

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Execute large and small multi-channel projects with creative and strategic objectives
  • Collaborate and manage internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including production, creative, fabrication, AV, etc
  • Actively contribute to the conceptual, creative and strategic development of programs
  • Responsibilities include scheduling, budgeting, and production management of all aspects of a live event, onsite bump-in and bump-out management
  • Help source and develop vendor and freelance talent pools across the APAC region

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in similar role
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers
  • Budget and scheduling experience
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Be prepared to travel interstate and internationally as needed
  • Australian residents only. No visa sponsorship offered.

 

Salary:

  • The salary range for this full-time position is $75k-90k AUD + superannuation, experience-dependent
