Manager - Digital/Date & Analytics

Overview:

This position is a part of the Corporate Finance organization and will interface with the technical IT team within the Chief Financial Officer organization. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and person that can understand the business and the drivers of the business results. He/she will be able to collaborate with all senior leaders and their teams to bring analysis to their most-complicated responsibilities. A few examples of early projects include, but are not limited to: automation of the inventory process and LIFO calculation, cash flow forecasting automation to drive better accuracy, railcar optimization analysis, business results analysis, etc.

 

This role will be the first hire for a competency that is needed at AmSty. With this in mind, we are looking for a strategic leader as the team and complexity will grow over time. AmSty wants data analysis and understanding AI and its uses to be an asset and differentiator as we grow under different ownership.


Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Digital/Data and Analytics to lead and oversee the digital analytics and data-driven decision-making process for our organization. This role is responsible for managing data collection, analyzing digital performance, and providing actionable insights to optimize business strategies and improve customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, digital technologies, and a deep understanding of business intelligence tools and methodologies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Strategy Development:
  • Lead data analysts and digital specialists to manage and analyze digital data. Team will be formed over time.
  • Develop and implement data strategies that align with business goals and support digital transformation efforts.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in data analytics to inform decision-making across marketing, product, and other departments.

  • Data Management & Analytics:
  • Oversee the collection, management, and interpretation of digital and customer data from various sources.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to track and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Digital Marketing Insights:
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to analyze and optimize online campaigns, traffic performance, and customer engagement.
  • Use A/B testing, segmentation, and predictive analytics to guide marketing strategies and improve digital experiences.

  • Business Intelligence & Reporting:
  • Design and implement reporting systems and analytical frameworks to track business performance.
  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for business units to drive continuous improvement.
  • Deliver clear, concise presentations to senior leadership on findings, opportunities, and performance trends.

  • Tools & Technology:
  • Utilize business intelligence tools (e.g., Python, Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics, etc.) to visualize and communicate data insights.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital analytics tools, data management platforms, and trends in data technology.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with IT, product, marketing, and other departments to ensure data accessibility and usability.
  • Help translate complex data insights into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in data analytics, digital marketing, or related fields.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of analysts or data professionals.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Python, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of web analytics, social media metrics, customer segmentation, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Experience with A/B testing, multivariate testing, and performance measurement.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations.


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms, AI, and data visualization techniques.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and eCommerce platforms.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and analytics platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).

Relocation is not available with this position.
