This is a new role created due to company growth.

The Role

You will lead our Brand & Content team. Your mission will be to build the leading global brand in our niche market. You will build a brand that clients trust, ask for by name, and are willing to pay a premium for. You will need to establish thought leadership for the brand by creating and distributing the best content for our market (both technical and non-technical). You will build a content strategy that is global from the beginning, with localisation of content topics and language for each key region. Your content will then fuel the efforts of the Performance Marketing team to grow revenue. This is a high-growth environment with the budget required to deliver the plan.


Key responsibilities include:

-          Lead & manage team.

-          Brand strategy.

-          Content strategy.

-          Content creation.

-          Website & SEO.

-          Organic demand gen.

-          Social channels.

-          PR & events.

-          Product marketing.


A major brand transformation is required to take our business to the next level. Our brand positioning must transform from a local Australian supplier to a global brand that is the world leader in its niche market. Over 40% of our sales are already international, and this must increase to achieve our growth targets. We will grow both organically and by acquisition. We must build a global brand and world-class content marketing operating to support this global growth strategy.


The key initiatives in the first 12-18 months will likely be:

-          Build an A-player team.

-          Update brand strategy.

-          Create the brand & content implementation plan.

-          Update brand identity.

-          New website.

-          Update product marketing, sales collateral & other content.

-          Establish a new content creation engine (strong video focus).

-          Build content marketing program (organic demand gen).

-          Implement content localisation program.

 

You will also support the broader Beaver Group including other operating businesses, employer brand for recruitment marketing, the owner’s personal brand, and the holding company brand for business acquisition marketing.


You will report to the General Manager – Growth & Marketing. The preferred location for this role is our Perth Head Office. We will consider a hybrid role for the initial 12 months for an exceptional candidate. We will provide relocation and visa assistance if required. You will need to build out your team (likely 3-4 in 12 months, 8-10 in 3 years), with an optimised mix of internal team, dedicated offshore support, and specialist agency or contractor project resources. We run the full Hubspot Pro stack including Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service.


About You

We are looking for a commercially minded, ambitious brand & content marketing leader.


You will have a high-performance mindset with a strong focus on driving commercial outcomes. You will have a strong creative and conceptual thinking capability. You will have the ability to understand the customer, get inside their head, and work out how to influence and drive their decision-making. You will think strategically, with the long-term mindset required to build a market-leading brand. You will be highly accountable, hit deadlines, and beat targets. You will be digital-first, with strong tech capability and a high need for control (ie, build an A-player internal team, only use external agency where necessary). You will be ROI-focused, always looking to ‘test and measure’, try lots of things, and double-down on what works to maximise every dollar. You will be competitive, focused, and driven by winning.


Product or industry experience are not required. Don’t let our engineered products scare you, we have in-house experts for all the technical stuff. We are looking for an A-player to build a high-performance brand & content marketing operation.


Experience required includes:

·         8+ years relevant experience.

·         Previously setup or grown high-performance content marketing team (not ‘first rodeo’).

·         Prior success in building premium brands (ideally in a B2B environment).

·         Ideally – prior experience building a global brand with the roll-out of content marketing program internationally, including localisation (by language, region, etc).
