As the Head of Social Media, you will oversee the development and execution of our social media strategy, driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and lead generation across all social channels. You will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing team, creating compelling content, analyzing performance, and staying on top of trends and emerging platforms. You will work closely with the marketing, sales, product, and design teams to ensure a cohesive and compelling brand voice across all touchpoints.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategy Development & Execution
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with company objectives, including brand awareness, lead generation, and community engagement.
- Identify new opportunities for social growth and oversee the optimization of existing channels to achieve maximum ROI.
- Define the social media content calendar, ensuring timely and relevant content delivery across all platforms.
Storytelling & Brand Consistency
- Craft compelling, authentic brand stories that resonate with audiences, ensuring the same narrative is communicated consistently across all social media platforms and marketing channels to reinforce the brand’s identity and values.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing social media team to execute day-to-day activities effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, PR, design, and product) to ensure alignment of social media initiatives with broader company goals.
Content Creation & Curation
- Lead the creation of engaging, shareable content, including copy, videos, graphics, and user-generated content, that resonates with target audiences.
- Ensure content is on-brand, on-message, and consistent across all channels.
Community Engagement & Customer Care
- Foster an active and engaged online community, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and positive manner.
- Develop and implement strategies for building relationships with influencers, customers, and industry thought leaders.
Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze social media performance metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Provide regular reports on social media performance to leadership, including insights on growth, engagement, and impact on business goals.
Trendspotting & Innovation
- Stay current with social media trends, tools, and best practices, recommending new strategies to stay ahead of competitors and keep the brand at the forefront of innovation.
- Test and experiment with new platforms, features, and content types to keep the brand relevant and engaging.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience
- 6+ years of experience in social media management or marketing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully growing social media channels, managing influencer campaigns, and driving engagement for a brand, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) and their respective best practices.
- Strong understanding of social media analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, etc.).
- Experience in influencer marketing, including managing influencer relationships and campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt the brand voice for different platforms and audiences.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a creative team.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability with a hands-on approach to execution
