Reporting directly to the Associate Director, Life Sciences, the Business Development Manager (Life Sciences) will focus on creating partnerships with pharmaceutical companies that complement Brainomix’s strategy of developing and deploying AI enabled software to support treatment decisions and the successful translation of therapies into clinical practice.
You will play a crucial role in delivering growth and expanding business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include pipeline development, relationship management, along with the delivery and successful closure of qualified business opportunities to support Brainomix objectives in the Life Sciences sector.
You will champion the following areas:
Pipeline Management:
· Identify and Evaluate Opportunities: Proactively identify potential new business opportunities within the life sciences domain. Analyse market trends, assess competitive landscapes, and evaluate potential partnerships. Stay up-to-date with latest entrants into landscape.
· Lead Generation: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients, collaborators, and partners. Leverage market research, industry insights, and networking to identify prospects.
· Contact Companies: Reach out to pharmaceutical companies, biotechs, device companies and other relevant organizations. Initiate conversations, establish rapport, and explore collaboration possibilities with new and existing leads.
Meeting Coordination and Relationship Building:
· Set Up Meetings: Arrange meetings with key internal and external stakeholders, including C-suite executives, Clinical Development leaders, and decision-makers. Coordinate schedules, prepare agendas, and ensure seamless logistics.
· Build and Maintain Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients and forge new connections. Understand their needs, pain points, and strategic goals. Tailor solutions to address their specific requirements. Identify possible connections and novel methods to engage with target companies and stakeholders.
Business Opportunity Progression:
· Workflow Management: Guide opportunities through the entire business development lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (translational medicine, medical leadership, marketing, legal, finance etc.) to move prospects from initial contact to contract negotiation and close.
· Negotiation and Deal Closure: Support negotiations, pricing discussions, and contractual agreements. Ensure alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
· Monitor and Report Progress: Regularly track and report the progress of opportunities and closed business, update internal stakeholders, and adjust strategies as needed.
Input into Strategic Planning:
· Business Plans: Support and execute strategic plans to expand Brainomix’s Life Sciences business. Identify growth areas, market segments, and potential revenue streams.
· Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, scientific advancements, and competitive dynamics. Use this knowledge to shape business strategies and approach.
Travel/Conference Attendance:
· Industry Events: Represent the company at relevant conferences, trade shows, and industry gatherings. Network with potential clients, thought leaders, and key influencers.
· Business Development: Leverage conferences to identify new leads, showcase our offerings, and foster partnerships.
Additional Responsibilities
· Market Access: Where relevant this role might require cross-functional activities to support the wider Brainomix business, which may include involvement in market research, market development and data analysis.
