Job Description:
As a Virtual Billing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing remote administrative support to our clients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Handle the submission of claims and ensure accurate billing in accordance with client requirements.
- Review and verify billing data, including coverage details and supporting documentation.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and manage claim denials effectively.
- Communicate with relevant parties, including clients, insurance providers, and internal teams, to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
- Prepare and send billing statements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage payment postings and ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts.
- Conduct research and compile reports on billing metrics and claims trends.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure data security at all times.
- Provide timely updates on billing statuses and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve billing workflows and streamline processes.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required)
Skills:
- Proficiency in billing software and claims management systems.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and financial reporting tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing discrepancies.
- Commitment to data security and maintaining confidentiality.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Billing Assistant Specialist, Virtual Assistant, or in a similar administrative support role.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with US clients in billing or claims management.
- Solid understanding of billing processes, claims management, and payment reconciliation.
- Experience with billing software and financial reporting tools.
