Job Summary : As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Tripstack, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with product owners, software engineers, and other stakeholders to define testing requirements, execute automated as well as manual tests, and ensure the highest quality of software before it reaches our customers. You will play a critical role in improving software testing processes and contribute to building a high-performing Dev team.

Key Responsibilities :

• Test Planning & Strategy : Lead the creation of comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases based on product requirements and technical specifications. Work closely with product and development teams to understand requirements, features, and functionality.
• Automated and Manual Testing : Primarily develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like ReadyApi, Postman or similar automation frameworks. Also perform manual testing of software applications across various platforms and environments.
• Test Execution & Reporting : Execute test cases, track and report defects, and ensure they are properly logged and communicated to the development team. Document test results, prepare detailed bug reports, and track the status of defect resolution.
• Regression & Performance Testing : Conduct regular regression testing to ensure new features or bug fixes don’t negatively impact existing functionality. Perform performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks and scalability issues.
• Process Improvement : Identify areas for improvement in the testing process, tools, and practices, and actively contribute to the refinement of QA methodologies.
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) : Participate in CI/CD pipeline management, ensuring automated tests are integrated into the build process and executed regularly.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing : Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, test cases, and test results.
• Share best practices and lessons learned with the QA team to enhance overall testing effectiveness.

Required Qualifications :

• 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance.
• Proven experience in both automated and manual testing of APIs, Database testing and mobile apps

Technical Skills :

• Expertise in test automation frameworks (e.g., ReadyApi, Postman, Selenium, TestNG etc.)
• Proficiency in programming languages like Groovy, Java, .Net, Python, JavaScript
• Strong understanding of SQL and ability to perform database testing.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Concourse, Jenkins, or GitLab CI etc

Tools & Technologies :

• Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira).
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Experience with Mocking tools such as Wiremock, Localstack or Mockserver etc
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and Database testing

Soft Skills :

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify issues quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear documentation and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior QA engineers, helping them grow in their roles.

Preferred Qualifications :

• ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certification or similar QA certifications.
• Experience with Agile Development:
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience in Travel domain
• Past experience in travel domain or Flight reservation systems is preferred
• Automation, Performance & Security Testing:
• Experience in automation, performance, load, and security testing is must have
