Forbes is seeking a Community Marketing Coordinator to join the Forbes Audience Development & Community Marketing team for ForbesLive. Reporting to the Director of Audience & Community Marketing, this role will support the team in growing and nurturing Forbes’ communities, while managing and analyzing community data. The Coordinator will collaborate with many departments and encompass various marketing functions. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for community-driven growth, event marketing and data strategy.

This role will be hybrid/remote based in the NYC metro area with the expectation of travel to provide on-site event support.

Responsibilities:

Community Engagement & Growth: 

  • Manage our community network and develop strategies to optimize its use for audience engagement, ticketing and community marketing.
  • Support audience development strategies that foster deep connection within Forbes communities, including 30 Under 30 honorees, C-suite executives, industry leaders, and rising stars.
  • Support the creation of targeted marketing plans to nurture ForbesLive communities and increase event participation.
  • Develop content and messaging strategies for community-specific announcements and campaigns.

Marketing Campaign Execution: 

  • Build and execute marketing strategies for ticketing, promotions, and outreach tailored to each Forbes community.
  • Manage multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email, social, and partnerships, to drive event registrations and engagement.
  • Assist in developing audience segmentation strategies to tailor outreach for different community groups.

Community & List Management:

  • Properly manage and maintain Forbes community and event attendee data, ensuring accurate segmentation and outreach.
  • Coordinate list announcements and event invitations to ensure timely and effective messaging.
  • Collaborate with editorial leads and community managers to define community traits and communication goals, ensuring cohesive, consistent messaging for each Forbes community.

Data Insights & Organization:

  • Track and analyze marketing performance, audience engagement, and ticket sales trends to inform future strategies.
  • Provide regular reporting on community growth, engagement metrics, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Maintain and improve data hygiene processes (including demographic tagging and opt-in) to ensure optimized engagement with Forbes community members throughout their careers

Onsite Event Responsibilities:

  • Present yourself professionally and kindly as you are the first person someone interacts with at an event.
  • Anticipate and understand all potential questions from attendees, serving as a “Help Desk” to ensure they have everything they need.
  • Assist in on-site and virtual event activations, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for live events, networking, and community building
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability and awareness to change tone and formality depending on the target audience.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail; strong ability in prioritizing tasks, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing business needs, and initiating/maintaining cross-departmental communication to move key initiatives forward
  • Strong understanding of email marketing, CRM systems, data tagging/organization, and audience segmentation (experience with and/or logic-based segment building a plus!)
  • Demonstrates curiosity, a strong willingness to learn, the ability to analyze complex problems and recommend solutions, and a genuine enthusiasm for the over 100-year-old Forbes brand and global impact
  • Understanding of tools including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Salesforce, Pardot, Event Registration Platforms and Project Management Platforms
  • 1-3 years of relevant event or community marketing experience
  • B.A. degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in the field of marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations or equivalent experience

The annual base salary range for this role is $65,000 - $70,000

Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith.  The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate.  In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
