Job Title: Accounting Associate

Position Summary: We seek a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to assist in maintaining Fiduciary Accounting Services. The role involves handling complex situations related to trusts and estates, where courts require fiduciary accounting during estate probate, trust administration, beneficiary disputes, or legal actions against a trustee. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for accurate data entry and timely completion of fiduciary accounting and tax processes, including maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately enter data into digital databases and ensure all financial data is up-to-date and correctly classified.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Verify data integrity and reconcile information as required.
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist with account reconciliations and transaction processing.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment follow-up.
- Ensure accuracy of financial documents and adherence to relevant legal and company policies.
- Support monthly payroll and maintain organized records.
- Record and reconcile bank statements.
- Provide administrative assistance to the finance department.
- Undertake general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence related to financial operations.
Qualifications:- A bachelor’s or associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, focusing on data entry and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
$60,000 - $70,000 a year
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $60,000 - $70,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the market demand, education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
