Summary
The Retail Marketing Associate will focus on innovative marketing initiatives to drive visibility, engagement, and sales for Hope Services' retail operations, with a primary emphasis on HopeTHRIFT. This role offers a unique blend of creativity and strategy within a nonprofit setting, allowing the coordinator to make a direct impact on the success of Hope Services' retail efforts. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, this entry-level position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is passionate about retail marketing, community building, and storytelling.
Essential Functions
The following responsibilities represent the essential functions of the position. An employee in this classification may be responsible for carrying out any or all of the following functions or other functions as needed:
Content Creation and Social Media:
•Develop, schedule, and manage engaging posts, reels, and short videos for HopeTHRIFT’s social media platforms, ensuring content aligns with brand voice and goals.
•Collaborate with influencers and content creators to generate authentic user-generated content (UGC) that resonates with target audiences.
•Monitor, analyze, and report on social media metrics, adjusting strategies to improve engagement, reach, and conversion rates.
•Experiment with new trends and features across social media platforms to keep HopeTHRIFT’s content fresh and engaging.
Retail Campaigns and Events:
•Plan and execute weekly marketing emails, including promotional offers, new arrivals, and event announcements, in collaboration with store managers.
•Organize and promote in-store events designed to increase foot traffic, customer engagement, and overall sales performance.
•Identify opportunities for impactful signage and branding enhancements within retail locations to create a cohesive and visually appealing shopping experience.
•Cultivate loyalty among reward program members by designing and implementing special events, exclusive promotions, and personalized campaigns.
•Manage and optimize loyalty program strategies, including database segmentation, campaign planning, and targeted outreach to increase customer retention.
Loyalty Program and CRM Management:
•Oversee the day-to-day management of the loyalty rewards program, ensuring seamless customer experiences and effective use of resources.
•Use CRM tools to track customer engagement, purchase history, and preferences, and leverage insights to inform marketing strategies.
•Develop reports and analysis on loyalty program performance, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
•Collaborate with internal teams to integrate CRM data into larger marketing campaigns, creating personalized and impactful messaging.
Collaboration and Reporting:
•Lead weekly check-ins with store managers to align marketing efforts with in-store goals and sales objectives.
•Maintain a well-organized content calendar and a robust pipeline of ideas and assets to support retail promotions, ensuring consistency and timely delivery.
•Track and report on the performance of marketing initiatives, using data to inform decisions and optimize future campaigns.
•Work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to ensure retail marketing efforts align with Hope Services’ overall brand and mission.
Qualifications Required
•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
•Hands-on experience with social media platforms, content creation, and community engagement, particularly for retail or consumer-facing brands.
•Experience planning and executing sales promotions, events, and campaigns to drive engagement and revenue.
•Strong understanding of data analytics tools, including social media insights, email metrics, and Google Analytics, to optimize marketing strategies.
•Proven ability to build and nurture community relationships through marketing and outreach efforts.
Required Knowledge and Skills
•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
•Hands-on experience with social media platforms, content creation, and community engagement, particularly for retail or consumer-facing brands.
•Experience planning and executing sales promotions, events, and campaigns to drive engagement and revenue.
