Colliers | Wisconsin is seeking a mapping marketing individual to join our Design & Analytics Team as a GIS Analyst at our downtown Milwaukee office. As a GIS Analyst you’ll work directly with our Brokers and Researchers as they support clients with their real estate strategy, transactions and space needs.

In this role, you will produce a variety of high quality geographic and demographic materials for marketing and analysis purposes, as requested in a timely manner.  Proficiently apply Geographic Information Systems (GIS) fundamental concepts, practices and procedures to produce GIS products and services for Colliers advisors and clients.  This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Research.

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university, preferably in Geography, Geographic Information Systems or related field. 

Responsibilities

  • Consult with internal and external clients to define project requirements, investigating various approaches to deliver high quality information to stakeholders.
  • Develop advanced, specialized maps utilizing geographic information and best practices.
  • Extract demographic and other information from various data sources, and accurately represent it in maps and reports.
  • Analyze, research, design, test, and implement mapping tools, templates, and standards.  Assist with maintaining a knowledge base of standards and templates.
  • Utilize StoryMaps, Dashboards and other visualization tools to package maps, demographic information and market data to tell a compelling story.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with stakeholders including office professionals and clients regarding projects, deadlines, resources, capabilities, and solutions.
  • Proactively obtain and maintain accurate data from various sources.
  • Log and prioritize work assignments on a regular and timely basis.
  • Adhere to standards and policies on quality assurance and quality checks.  Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality of finished products.  Ensure compliance with Colliers standards, company use of logo, and other branding standards.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, collaborating on client projects and other team initiatives.
  • Understand other team member roles and responsibilities, providing coverage and assistance when necessary.
  • Previous commercial real estate experience is considered an asset. Understanding of market conditions and factors is a plus.
  • Proficiency in at least one GIS platform, ArcGIS preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional customer service, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, deal with multiple deadlines, effectively handles stressful situations, and work with minimal direction/supervision.
  • Excellent communication (follow-through and follow-up) skills, and ability to meet commitments and deadlines.
  • Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
  • High degree of professionalism and passion for success.
  • Self-starter and team player with a strong attention to detail.
